Hello I am arranging a fans match with general fun day on bank holiday 7th may. However towards the back end of the close season I hope to arrange a fans tournament. We have a Stamford team, Corby, Grantham, Ilkeston and Posh fans so far. If you have a few teams in the UCL or want a combined UCL team that would be good. Please let me know. safc_flagboys@hotmail.co.uk Stamford Forum here

You need to prove yourself first Ian!!!
I am sure that UCL Fans FC would want to put a team in.

Yes i would be up for that. I think my Brother Aidi (goalie) and my mate matt might be able to play again. We have been practising once a week. We even invested in a 5 a side goal to practise shooting (and keeping shots down). I have to admit the recent floods have stopped the past couple of weeks. Should be back on track from next week though!

Great news! So can I assume that the UCL Forum will have a team? I plan to have 7-a-side on a full pitch at 10 mins each way.....that way the goals might flow a bit! Make it more interesting. Roun Robin with 2 groups of 4 then semis and a final.......followed by a good jolly in the clubhouse. I'll get a BBQ going and some other entertainment. Each team is contributing £10 per player to participate. Which most feel is reasonable to play on the world famous VC stadium. Please can someone take charge of organising your team and liase with me at: safc_flagboys@hotmail.co.uk Also no proper players, we have non league boffs in abundance here at Stamford so we'll know if your cheating! ;D

So that "one" goal is still getting talked about? If I had put a second finger on the ball, it wouldn't have gone in!

There is still a fans day/football tournament on Bank Holiday Monday. Details on www.stamfordafc.moonfruit.com. There's an U16 match, U18's, fan's game and a charity game involving the Posh Legends (Ken Charlery etc). The scale of the event had to be scaled down for various reasons. I've only just seen this thread and didn't realise that your team had been asked about taking part. I'm assuming that's not happening now? Stamford fans are organising a Sunday league team though and will be playing friendlies next season and joining a league in 2008.
