For reference St Neots' website is currently in the process of being redone in parts. At the weekend I shifted lots of files into new location for ease of storage, and with the reserves changing leagues some things are probably broke in the reserves area.
I personally haven't even looked at any other teams websites yet, not so much for the world cup but for lack of time.

how's everyone getting on with the review? I'm holding off until the pre-season friendlies start so there will be some match reviews (hopefully) and the sites will be up and running properly.

Thought I'd drag this thread up.
I don't know about anyone else but it's amazing how long it can take when trying to update parts of the site which I hadn't touched in a long while. I've been updating the sites' stylesheet and have been slowly going through the seasons 'archive' to make parts of the site use it.
The bulk of the site has now been updated, though I'll be holding off for about a fortnight until I look into reviewing other sites.

I'm going to be updating the Wellingborough Town website in the coming weeks. It might be best to review it just after the fixtures are announced....

Just like to say that the people who maintain UCL websites deserve a lot of credit. It takes hours and hours to maintain and try to keep them upto date. 3 years ago I started the Cogenhoe United website and new next to nothing of HTML and other web languages. I have learned on a very steep learning curve. How many people get home from watching football on a saturday then spend another 2hours updating sites. I am hoping to get video on Cogenhoe's in the comming season but its all down to time again.
As no one has actually reviewed any yet my favorite website in the ucl is:-
Newport pagnells-good design always upto date on all of their teams including youth and reserves(how he gets the time god only knows)
other favorites are:- St Neots, Wellingborough, buckinghams and raunds
and we cant forget the great mitoo
ucl chatter is good but not really a website just a forum but i enjoy the banter
By the way I just started on a new host Zesthost £17.11 per year(variable as is american so depends on exchange rate) 1GB space, 5GB bandwidth, loads of other features.

PS dont look at the cogenhoe website under firefox, for some reason about 3 pages don't like it. Have been meaning to getting round to resolving it but as I never use firefox I quite honestly cant be bothered. If anyone would like to assist me on the website I would be most gratefull. The entire Cogenhoe website is of my own doing and any tips advice is always welcome. I am looking at putting video on the site have done a lot of research and due to compression I have decided to use flash 8 have had a quick play with it(software cost £600 and I have no idea what I am doing) any advice welcome.

I'll have a look during the week. You really *should* design a site that works in firefox and then check with IE afterwards. IE doesn't properly comply to general web standards, whereas many other browsers such as firefox do.

Firefox is probably the main reason for IE7 being released, as prior they weren't going to release new versions of IE.

I only tend to use Opera when testing, it's become better since it dropped the ads. I like Firefox as it has a wide range of extensions making it very handy. The 'web developer' toolbar and 'IE Tab' extensions are useful when maintaining websites.

Just a reminder as to who was suggested to do which reviews.... if anyone nominated doesn't want to do it, then I'm sure there will be volunteers..... Alrighty then ...... I'll do Boston Town Buckingham Town Cogenhoe United Cuckooman can do Deeping Rangers Desborough Town Huntingdon Town UCLCook can do Irchester United Newport Pagnell Town Northampton Spencer pyromaniac can do Olney Town Raunds Town Sleaford Town KilnParkMan can do St Ives Town St Neots Town Stotfold Grassroots can do Wellingborough Town 2004 Yaxley AFC Kempston Rovers In The Know can do Burton Park Wanderers Higham Town Peterborough Northern Star Reviewers picked simply from the names that occur to me from recent postings, sorry if you feel you wanted to do some reviews, also sorry if I'm putting you in the frame and you can't be a***d. Review (and score out of 10) based on 1. Ease of use and navigation 2. Scope, breadth and quality of information 3. Quality and bias of match reports (probably difficult at this time of year) 4. Overall impression of technical quality, look, feel etc 5. Commercial aspects (does it help raise money for the club?) 6. Editorial quality (does it read well?) 7. Overall score (add up the scores and divide by six) ....whaddyasay..... Anyone who feels left out could see if we've missed any or even find out if any new ones are planned (like Potton).
