Call me what you want but putting Thorne and Memoli in the same league as O 'Keefe, Atkinson and Garside is very complimentary of you. They were both good players but the 3 strikers were match winners in their own right. I'd also say that that group have had their fair share of dodgy knees. On the kipper thing, is he the Herring who doesnt knock out refs?

BB you are a bit close to the knuckle ............trouble is you cannot judge players today against those of yesteryear. Of the players mentioned over the last 10 years, almost none would make the teams of 20 - 25 years ago. Technically and from a history point of view, last seasons first team is the best we have ever had. They are in the record books completing a feat not achieved in 100 years...............debate that

Knuckle smuckle JJ. Im not saying the 2 above players are rubbish, far from it. Im just saying that the 3 strikers were the bees knees. Id like to think that a few would agree. As for recent players not being in the same league as the yesteryear chaps,I disagree. The game has moved on on all levels and its only the older guys who claim different. Im not saying that there wasnt some outstanding players in days gone by(O'Keefe and Atkinson) but with pitches being better kept , players seeming fitter(dubious that one I know) and lads having better youth systems around them, I have to say that there are better players about now! Please dont every chap over 40 tell me how little I know, its just my opinion OK. Finally Judge, how is it that you can drop Whitworths deserved title win into most threads? I appreciate that it was a fantastic achievement from club, manager, players, commitee and YOU but please give the dog the ball back, you cant keep it forever! I will look forward to your humourous reply.

BB, I must take your side on this matter. Players today are faster , fitter and ,i think more aware. Pitches are better( Thank God) , Footballs and boots add to the modern game. TV also plays a part, to watch such skills every week. The game has moved on so much ,its a fact we must accept If we take the judges comments to the extreme ,and because Whitworths went a whole season unbeaten then that implies that there has never been a side or players as good. A contradiction methinks.

Cant think of anything too humerous BB but if you have it flaunt it and we have it sitting in Mr Georges boardroom. Lots of people participated in getting it even those boys recognized if only making a couple of appearances off the bench.....all contributed. Don't know when it might happen again so enjoy while it is here.

It was a kind gesture of the club to recognize all who participated in the historic triumph I agree. As of today Whitworths are top of the league still and MAYBE heading for another record breaking feat, lets hope so. If they are successful, does that mean that you'll continue to flaunt your club's success relentlessly?

You must be doing a good job, I dont doubt it for a minute. As far as not caring, once you're part of a club do you not think that you'll always be part of that club? I do wish that you would relax,we're just talking football y'know.

Judge, it may come as a surprise to you but there are people who want to be "Part of it" but cant get past the "IN CROWD". Good football people who dont drink in the right place or say the right words. Its always been the same down there. CLICKY.

Like I said, get your best local XI down from Kiln Park to Eastfield park, Alfred street to London road. We always seem to deviate from our initial point dont we? Come on Pringle, lets see your XI in full, who's your heroes?

I have tried very hard to remove the "clicky" image away from the club, with this in mind I have brought in, among others, Jocky, Mark Anderson, Dan Cooke and Kevin Fox in the backroom staff & committee. None of which were in any way affiliated with Whitworths prior.
The "old guard" has been broken up and new younger players are coming to the fore. In recent seasons Rob Foster, Luke Raftery, Cavell Jarvis, Devon & Carlton Ellwood, Patto, Goosey and a number of others have been attracted to the club and either have already or will feature in my 1st team in the near future. We also have a number of 17 & 18 yr olds in the Reserves who will break through I am certain.
We dont pay players so I have to search hard to find suitable quality and attitudes.
So anybody who would like to get involved either with the 1st, Res, youth (U7's to U18's) only have to come and speak to me and we will find a role for them.
So Pringle the challenge is there, come and talk to me on Friday, you will be welcomed.

Noel Roach, Tim Wooding,Luke Dowling, Steve Grant, Steve Bicknell, Craig Norman, Ben Lord Richard Bailey ,Mick Garratt, Darren Collins, John Mitchell Subs Steve Gent, Garry Smith, Atko, Terry OKeef, Garside, Steve Till , it goes on ,football is about opinions. Some might say Figo should have captained England, others tell a more truthful tale.

Do you think Figo should have captained England then? He has laid a challenge down and IF you really want to assist a growing and enthusiastic club, there's your opportunity. That whole 'clicky' thing has always been thrown about at various clubs and truthfully is a load of cr@p. Blokes drink with their mates, lads train with guys who they get on well with and certain individuals PREFER certain individuals company. Its not 'clicky',its just the way life is.If ,for example, you wanted to breach Figo's inner sanctum then approach him(dont introduce yourself as Pringle though),speak to him,see what the club has to offer. I am pretty sure you will not appreciate this advice, you seem quite 'knowing' and must have your own plan. You clearly know your local football and if dissatisfied with the flourmen's heiarchy, why not try the Doughboys? Im not trying to tell a fish how to swim but you seem to be losing your clever wit and interlectual prowess and replacing it with sneaky swipes. Am I wrong? You were much more fun before. Decent local XI though. Hope I didnt offend you Pringle, just my opinion eh?

BB, I Accept your comments totally, no offence taken. Maybe I should return to my former self, I was never cut out to be a manager or the likes but my trophys tell me i could play. Figo for ENGLAND, na .You might have got me wrong, I am not dissatisfied with Whitworths, I am just an outsider who loves the game. Figo has had his critics, I think he has done a good job and built a good team looking to a strong future. I have no plan as you put it only to survive another cup of Mrs H tea. I do appreciate your comments(ADVICE), life is all about opinions and if we give it we should take it. As for my clever wit , after looking at that orange kit, pattos boots etc I am sure it will return soon.
