The frost gave me a free afternoon and as per the subject line I thought that Sleaford were poor. Other than a 5 min spell before half time they didn't offer much.

Fair point - and to be honest I was more interested in seeing S&L. They finished their chances well but didn't really need to get out of 2nd gear - hence my above comment.

Your right Sleaford were poor one of the worst performances I have seen in the last 2 seasons. We did have 3 regulars out through suspension etc but that is not an excuse. Although it did leave us very exposed defensively.

I think it is fair to say that no one watching would have been impressed with the Sleaford performance. We were poor all over the park, out battled and didn't deal with the conditions at all well. We did have players out and that did affect the balance of the side but the players who played should have given a better account of themselves. However as I said on the mid season assessment it is inconsistency that is our biggest problem so hopefully the performance will be put right on Sat. In fairness though Sleaford could be said to be doing well to be where they are. Top half of the table having been in the Lincolnshire League only 5 years ago. And this season is the first that money has been paid and we are not talking massive levels. Both Rothwell and Kempston have shown that it is a big jump. Daventry slightly different as they have invested heavily. Which team is it that you follow Apolman? Hopefully we will put on a better show against your side and change your opinion of us.

It is a big jump and you're right - you have made a better go of it than some recently promoted sides. If it was a bad day then fair enough. I have never watched Sleaford before so didn't have anything to bench it against. No offence meant - just thought I'd comment on a Saturday away from the norm! I'm usually down in Res Div 1 but thought I'd enjoy the high life!!!

No offence taken. Just wondered if we'd get the chance to perform better when you next saw us. Hope the season pans out well for you and your team.
