Great post Clippo. I still think it's a big step up from U-18 to UCL Prem but if you can manage it, then fair play to you. You could always get your boots out again to give a bit of experience, you didn'y look too rusty in the recent Vets 5 - A - side!

It's time for the Parish Council to stand up, be counted and show they want the football club to survive and ultimately prosper.
Yaxley FC deserves better.

with reference to 5 euro cups comment, it has to be said that the real issue has been overlooked. Bugbrooke reserves relegation will lead to them playing in what is a poor standard division despite 'winning' an end of season relegation battle. Would anybody imagine somebody announcing to hull in June that Newcastle had folded and so they would be relegated? on the other side deeping got the runner up promotion spot from div 2, should there at least have been a playoff between the two sides to decide who plays where next season? With regards to yaxley i must sadly agree that the step up from u18s to 1st team is too large especially for a prem side, maybe a local feeder team could be affiliated to allow the youngsters to experience adult football before playing in the one of the best leagues in the area?

I should think Dual registration with the Peterborough league will cover that one

I am just glad the club is rebuking the mischeavous comment in the village that we are looking to return to the Peterborough League.

BSMFC does feel somewhat hard done by with the decision to be relegated - but it is essential to note that this is not a reflection on Yaxley, or any other side that took points off the reserves last season. The gripe is firmly with the UCL decision.
How a club decides to run its business is entirely its own perogative and fair play if the step is from U18 up to UCL prem - if they are good enough, they're old enough.

Whilst we'er talking Yaxley, why do the other Hunts clubs seem to get so much more support from Hunts FA in terms of funding etc? Or am i misguided?
