Fantastic posts fella - been a while since I have had cause to chuckle on this site - look forward to seeing you at Chestnut Avenue at some point and enjoying a beer or two with you whilst engaging in intelligent and provocative banter and finding out where you were taught to spell ECONEMY
PS: 32 is a spring chicken in my world and is far too young to be declaring yourself a legend.

Well, PNS battered Kempston and deservedly so. Can't make my mind up whether or not this was down to PNS being very good, or Kempston falling way short of the required standard. In fact, they were poor through 1-11, especially the keeper.
Chipsandgravy - i applaud your effort for trying to drum up trade, but please type your posts in to Word, or something similar, for a quick grammar check, as they're bloody hard work!
Also, i'm not sure if other teams charge for watching the Under 18's, and i know you have to cover the cost of the lights etc..., but £2 for the game on Thursday seems a litle off.
The 16% rise in entrance fee was a bit of a shock as well, but the prospect of a 'free' cup of tea in 30 deg heat wasn't an appealing one.

A lot of clubs seem to be charging more and ignoring the recession and pns have fallen into same trap as others in money grabbing. Be interesting to watch their crowds go down as people realise they are being ripped off. Not the cleverest of moves

Entrance fee debate is interesting and a difficult one. Last year we did not have great facilities to offer anyone and so underpriced many of our local rivals.
This year we have covered seating, provide a programme and hot drink and a more comfortable bar with a wide screen TV for keeping up to date with scores etc.
£3.50 is still below the likes of Yaxley & Deeping I think, though they (sort of!) offer a higher level of football, but I don't think it is an unreasonable amount that our committee have settled upon.
Not sure £2 for midweek youth game is either, but not sure Andy what others do?
Still got someway to go on facilities but I think in the main our people would rather pay that little bit more for what we are now providing. Proof will be in our attendances I suppose if the on-pitch performance is the same. Last year we topped the division 1 averages with 60, and have had 92 & 70 in our first 2 games this year, albeit in decent weather.

There's no doubt, Tommy, that PNS's football is way in front of that served up by the other local UCL clubs that i pop around when Posh are away, or if there's a decentish fixture on a Tuesday night. You're definitely value for money on that front.
You make a good point in the increased facilities you provide - though why i'm not allowed to take a can of Diet Coke out of the bar God only knows - and the tea/coffee will be welcome, i'm sure, over the darker, colder months.
What were your thought on the game? And how the hell is Ozzie allowed to ref UCL games?

I thought that as with all of recent games with Kempston there were periods when they were our equal at least and yet have ended up getting hammered again - very bizarre.
Not sure at all about their manager (the only one in the League I have no time for - don't expect to be on his Xmas card list either!). He never stops complaining (usually about refs) and got sent off at the end of last season for abusing officials - think this might feed into their players who lose some shape, concentration and focus once behind - They have some really capable players and could beat anyone on their day.
Not sure about the can of Coke thing Andy - seems OTT and I will ask why myself!
