Newport put a very good preformance up against Cogenhoe considering they had a depleted side. There was a lot of youngsters present again and there average age of the team was only around 20 years of age. I Cant deny this but Cogenhoe deserved the win! A great game!

I see the top teams mostly won today, Deeping looking strong, Boston as well. Of all the teams we at Wellingborough have played this season, impressed with Spencer and Deeping, but the team i have been impressed with the most is Cogenhoe. They played great football against us, movement was excellent, they defend well, and all look confident on the ball. I think they will still be in the thick of it come the end of the season.

HAYDN [glow=red,2,300]If you would of seen us against Blackstones, st ives and boston in the last few weeks you may have changed your mind!! although it looks as if weve turned the corner now!! two wins on the bounce over teams that are on a bit of a run and the confidence is buzzing at the moment, Carl holmes bagged himself a hatrick![/glow]

Thank you chaps, very nice comments and all credit to our lads and management! For me the only other side I have seen that matches our passing and movement is Spencer, however football is a funny old game and the qualities that might win the UCl may not only be the ones we most admire. Hate to say it but getting the ball in the final third and getting opponents turning does pick up points! Would like to think that Cooks would at least be a top four finish and have a say in the championship. And Grassroots we also had more than a few youngsters in our team today mate!

Spencer and Cogenhoe are the best I've seen this season, yet when Raunds are at their best they match them... a matter of consistency I feel

we know, we went there to see them! but the point grassroots making was that ours didn't disgrace themselves against an obviously good side that has a good mix of youth and experience. We maybe relying too much on youth at the moment, but they will learn.
