Following an emergency Committee Meeting on 12th January 2007, Adrian Mann has been relieved of his duties as First Team Manager. The club would like to record their thanks for his efforts whilst First Team Manager but with the club's current position, they felt that a change was needed to try and get something positive from the rest of the season. The Committee of the Club are aware that at the end of last season we were only saved by a technicality from relegation, and this season we have only won 4 out of 21 League games played. Glenn Botterill has been put in charge whilst the Committee decide on the best way forward.

be very interesting to see who Buckby approach considering the amount of money rumoured to be available. If true its probably one of the largest budgets around!

Who do you reckon is in the frame then? Shane Geary? An assistant or coach from Rugby Town or somewhere wanting to take a step up? Someone already in place who fancies a move? Sven Goran Eriksson?
Start a poll, I don't know how to.

IMOP. LB will always struggle to atract top players unless they pay top money simply because of their location. As much as Spencer like to bleat about not paying players that is is simple boll*ocks, so if for example you have a choice as a Northampton based palyer to play for Spencer and earn a few quid or tavel out to LB the you have to be making it well worth the players while and I mean more than £30. ( sorry to blow the lid on what a very average UCL player earns)
Like i said just my opinion.

Just wondering how they might have sorted out Manny's management 'contract' with Long Buckby? Or did he leave by mutual consent? When he and Botty signed it was a big thing with a pic of them signing in the local paper.

Agree with motorman here would be interested to see how they sorted out his contract as Tebbitt the local press man made a big issue out of this contract signing Shane Geary is only an option if there is a lot of money Mark Shackleton currently Rugby Town Reserves but looking for a UCL club to manage but I would stick with Botterill myself as he seams to be doing the job there anyway

Shame to see Manny go, as much as he was a handful on the pitch or in the dugout, everything was always forgotten by the time you got to the bar and he would happily have a drink with you. In my experience anyway.
Best of luck, Aidy.

From whats been banded arround it seems as if former Duke of York manager Neil Twelvetree is in line for the job, although that maybe idle gossip.

That would be interesting as most of his ex players are at Spencer Still think Botterill will get it though.

If it is him for next season then they should give him the job now! not just do the caretaker bit .... you can bet they have who they want in mind already!!

Is anyone else a little surprised that there's nothing about it on their website? Or any other "official" news sources?
Do you think Botty fancies it, or do you think he'll want to team up with Aidy Mann again?

Neil Twelvetree is an excellaant shout comptonparker spoke to him a few years ago and he said he would only do a saturday job where he had money and from what the chairman said when he took over from Chris Heeley as Chairman he wants southern lge football must have a good wedge and with Aidy Manns cut gone should be a gd Budget
