BLIMEY!!! THats too hard to single one manager out as there are so many good ones in this league who have done well with their squads. Perosonally think Nick Ashbys done a fantastic job, but the lad from Deeping has to be up there for getting his team thru to this part of the season with his team undefeated. My apologise for not knowing your name. Adam Sandy and Aidy Mann are quality managers, but you could list 10 or so names who do a good job. Just too hard to single one person out.

Although you'd never get the true figures from the clubs concerned, one way to do it would be to divide the money spent on wages and payments to players so far this season, by the number of league points the club has - so effectively how much each manager has paid per point.
Then you'd see who is a good manager compared with who is just throwing money at it and trying to buy success.

Cor... this is a tough one to stay out of. Yes you would expect me to go for Adam Sandy numero uno..... he was my tip for Cooks even when he was at Raunds even before Aidy was appointed and guiding the Cooks to the 1st ever championship. However lets be honest if you have a competitive budget in the UCL you should as a manager create a team for at least a top six finish..... so Steve jelley has the swing o meter.. towards him. cos he works with limited budget and has created a really good team.. playing good football and peeps wanna play for him & club regardless of the ££££££. Dunno if Deeping...have much of a budget and considering the manager is in his first season the swing o meter swings his way.... afterall they are unbeaten at the midway point.. er um.. er ok decision.... Adam Sandy..... cos I think he would motivate the best players in the prem for a select 11..., proved at UCL level, ex pro so knows the game and he would have em playing the beautiful game... not punt and charge.... great question for the new year... taxed me old brain! Happpyyyy new Year everyone!!!

Hold on.....
What about Bob Don Duncan at Boston... Over the years he has consistently put out a strong team & won the Premier Division at least once (dont know the exact ammount of times but i do remember Boston winning the league on the last game of the season over the Cooks..)

It takes a good manager to do well with a team with hardly any money and to motivate a team as well. I reckon Spencer must have a good team morale which no doubt helps as well as well as a talented young squad. I dont no much about Deeping and there manager? For a a fair vote i think all Prem managers should be listed.

For what it's worth, I would go for Adam Sandy at Cogenhoe, very knowledgable about football at this level, and a thoroughly nice bloke too!
Honourable mentions also to Steve Jelley, Aidy Mann (although results don't show it) and the fellow from Potton who's name escapes me.

Most of you are tapping your own managers on the back, so, so will i. Our managers have taken St Ives from second bottom in the UCL one to top half of Premier in 4 seasons, without the money that others have...I also think the other that springs to mind is Adam Sandy.

Of the eight people that gave an opinion, only two of them went with the manager of the club they are a supporter of. So how does 25% add up to "most of you"? As for turning things round, those who are mentioning Steve Jelley know that he has one of (if not THE) smallest wage budget in the Premier division, he took over a team that were perennially fighting relegation and IMMEDIATELY turned them into a top 3 team - predominantly with the players he inherited, and the ones he brought in were also local lads.

Spencer are a good side, if he has done that with next to nothing, then fair play to him. Cause im sure that cogenhoe have the pennies, or Collins etc wouldnt have been there last year.
