Ok like the thread on 1st division board but this is one is name the 2 best young players (under early 20's) in your team.
After seeing several UCL Games it wont be hard to pick 2 players..

I think Steve Diggin from Cogenhoe, and Jason King our right back/sweeper

Cant think of just two from Fords as the starting line up against St. Ives on sat, the oldest player was 25 with the rest between 18-22. If I had to pick two it would be Ian Waldock and Johnathan Crockett, both 21

Sorry misread it. Our better under 20's are our keeper Rob Mackney, and right back Jason King. We only have 2 players over 25 in our squad.

Phil Cassidy is one of Spencer's teenage trio - the other two are Jon Burdett and Josh Urquhart

Our best under 20s player at Newport is Danny Nicholls. Come straight from the youth team in to the first. He has 9 goals in 7 games which he got two hatricks, 3 against Buckingham and 3 against St Ives. He is not just a great goal scorer but his all round play is excellent and for a 17 year old he is very confident and laid back! 2nd behind him i would say either Elliot O Reily (18 i think) or Drew Mitten (17 year old). Elliot is quick and had the skill to run at players (and beat them). Drew is the sort of player that keeps running and doesnt run out of steam. He seems to change games when brought on as a sub. Going back to the the first post it is difficult to pick from Newports sqaud as the average first team age is i think around 23 years. Most 21 and under!

did they come through your youth system ? I don't have a youth system, but I do know that Cassidy and Burdett were regulars in last years' extremely successful Cogenhoe Under 18s and Urquhart played for the Spencer youth team. Buggalugs The Critic

From Raunds Town I would pick Jamie Russell good left winger only 19 and chris Jones Goal keeper 20 , both these came through the youth ranks.

Central defender RICHARD JONES came through out U-18's and is now 19 and also ROSS WATSON who can play either in midfield or as a defender, also through our U-18's. We have been "blessed" with a great Under 18 side for three years now.

UCL FAN - Ross Watson indeed play for Blackstones u 18's after his release from Cambridge - Today he captained the first team at Bourne- We at Blacko's have a great youth system - I can think of at least 11 U18 players that have featured in the first team over the last two seasons- Equally our reserve team are made up of approx 7/8 of our current u18's - Back to the original thread - Richard Jones is the best young player in the league!!!!!!
