Just for fun, which ground do you think has been the best? For me it is a narrow choice between Sleaford and St Ives. What do you think?

I think all grounds have their own merits.

King Lynn. It has that old feel to it,but has the quality for a higher level. Enjoyed my visit there earlier in the season v St Ives.

St Ives as the best ground ?? Come on, do me a favour. Fair enough they have very welcoming officials at the club but the set-up is poor. Example: Worst pitch in UCL (ploughed up) making the game itself a mud bath !!, seat's in far stand broken or missing as well as weeds browing all across the stand, sponsor boards half hanging on perimeter. Overall the place needs a big revamp. Apart from the obvious (St Neots Town), i have to agree that Sleaford is very good as is Market Deeping. Only my opinion.

Didn't ask which was the most modern,up to date, yes that does help, but hospitality and a warm welcome etc all contribute to what you think is the best ground.

True, a good welcome mat makes all the differences. PS. Going off topic for a mo ( : , I see the Linnets, unless you go to reply in the vase, will visiting the KP on the 15th Feb, a fecking Tuesday night I asked. You will be pleased it will be normal pricing (£5 and Concessions) because we don't want bill for washing tea stains off the referee at half time!!

Have to agree with delboys assessment of st ives pitch! Went and watched our Ramsey lads there last night in the Hunts cup and was surprised at how bad the pitch was. It barely looked playable with a number of very boggy patches. Our own pitch is hardly wembley standard but that is worse than anything i have seen in the peterborough league to date.

Enjoyed Holbeach tonight for obvious reasons, 3 points is always nice. Nothing modern at Holbeach, but nice old club, good facilities. Even with 350 people in there (i reckon more) the bar moved freely It's an up close and personal sort of place and plenty of atmosphere.
Although losing doesn't bring good memories, Long Buckby was my first UCL ground and what a wake up call that was. A real leveller and not an easy place to play. But decent place to watch football.
Boston was good, and had a lovely day out at Dereham in a Cup game, bit too 'clean' for me, but a decent ground.
This is my first year visiting UCL and have to say, banter has been tops, the grounds never cease to amaze me (Hop Hop Hop) and the level of commitment from all I have met and chatted too has been immense.
Thanks to the UCL, I have football back in my life so thank you to all those who keep the clubs going and providing top top entertainment. UCL is excellent value for money. Still peeved that we have to pay £8:00 but hey ho, we like our ground and want to keep it, so it's a small price to pay. Hope to see as many of you as possible at the Walks this season.

baldystud - it's not just the ground you are paying to go in - it's the whole "entertainment package" which includes the players wages (at bigger clubs) and expenses at smaller clubs, running costs, the lists goes on and on. I grudge paying £5 at some of the lower grounds but some of them do plough it back into the club to meet minimum standards. I reckon that anyone that thinks that getting a couple of hours entertainment, gossip swopping, cheap beer plus abusing some poor sod running up and down a touch line, all for a fiver is a rip-off needs their head testing And one more thing - when are the league going to help clubs out by making the "UCL Committee Complimentray Entry Card" to be used only to go watch their own team. Wherever I go, I hear gatemen and committee muttering that the attendamce of 60 has had loads of non-paying Complimntery tickets - sometimes 15-20 - that's £100 loss to the home club m- that's a lot. Surely it can't be right. Watch your own team yes but wandering around the league for free when most clubs are struggling

There should be no complimentary tickets for ucl committee members, they should pay their way like everyone else, not take the p***! I know at King's Lynn that 10 non paying officials makes little difference, but to other clubs its a large percentage of their crowd.Hope i didn't make that too belittling? But they should pay their way,you see them at every game in their official UCL coats on'league business',then pay your way, claim your expenses back off the league!
