Just wondering if it is national hate King's Lynn Town FCday?? Just read the non league paper... Page 2 -- The Coalville chairman slating King's Lynn for their abuse during the second leg and nothing to say about the group of his own supporters who were running from end to end of their section.....not going to ban them cause they need the money of them going to the games?? Only suggestion I can think?? Still nothing said about the violence and abuse recieved by Lynn fans at coalville and making it sound like all the lynn fans were abusive, which is what angers me the most!. Also should anything be said to the press during an investigation especially as it is a police investigation as well??? (I still say the lynn sided people who were involved should be banned too before anyone says I'm one-sided Page 6 -- Andrew Bowell at the bottom of the letters page saying there is form in the ranks of King's lynn. He is a Deeping fan and there was some abuse that night aimed at the ref. What he fails to mention was the disallowed goal that caused that anger in the fans (as it is still clearly a goal!) and I'm sure his fans would be the same if it happened to Deeping. Long Buckby we lost and I remember no trouble at all. At least, to his credit, he said it was a group and not the whole fans base. We've had some good press this year in terms of fans going to games and of course, with a higher attendance, there are going to be the odd idiot or two more than a club with a low attendance. Please don't taint us all with the same brush. There were over 2000 people behaving themselves at the Coalville game (me being one of them!) so maybe some people want to remember the good supports who clapped their team off after losing to them (hinted towards Coalville there!) Ok rant over! ;D

Just to say we had no problems at all with KL supporters at what was Desborough's biggest gate of the season and (if (!) we're both in the UCL Premier next season), we'd be happy to see them again.

Thank you crow. I remember having a really nice time at your ground. A lovely welcome and, even though you had previously had the fire, you did not try and make money from the larger crowd by raising your prices (take note Deeping!)
Bit of a rant by me above to be honest but I just hate it when people ignore the fans who are doing right at games. The only times I've witnessed anything to do with our crowd this year was the second leg against Coalville. The first leg, the lynn fans were very behaved and at Deeping, I think you would have seen the abuse at the ref for the disallowed goal (which the linesman gave!) at many other clubs.

Half a dozen Lynn fans shouting at the ref, blocked the only egress from the ground,we had a choice,we could go back and climb the fence,go all the way round the other way,or walk on the pitch,it was the walking on the pitch that made it look worse.Nobody on the pitch 'had a go',at the officials, many actually said well done to the Deeping players,As for being animals,i myself only ate the goalkeeper and half a defender. ;D

DW I was Assistant Manager at the time Deeping beat Lynn 2-1. It was a disallowed goal, in fact my centre half at the time got his boot caught up in the net clearing it, about 5 minutes later the REF waved away a blatant handball by your centre half which was so obvious I thought he could have been playing Basketball at the time. That squares it up as he could have been sent off which at that time in the first half wouldnt have done you any favours whatsoever as we were the better side. Although in the second half we were holding on for our lives with your centre mid scoring a screamer.
After the game I went over to the Ref to help him in because a group of your supporters entered the pitch and became aggresive towards him, I felt sorry for him and also our stewards who were just trying to escort him back in the changing room. On top of that a group of Lynn fans came round to the back of our dressing room and started SPITTING through the window at my players.
So your quote stating your fans were well behaved at Deeping that night is an absolute load of T**SH, Spitting is the lowest form out and I was one of a few people that night disgusted by it. It was only a minority of course and most of your fans were well behaved, but dont come on here making out the sun shines out of your ***** when clearly it didnt that night.

Unfortunitly Kings Lynn show an Arrogance beyond belief, from the top to the bottom. A real shame.

I never said we were well behaved and if I did, please point it out to me. I know there are a few idiots in the Lynn 'fans' ranks. Like you said, most of the fans were well behaved but no-one ever picks up on that. The main thing about the Deeping message that got me going is that it was said that we are always like that when we lose, which is wrong as no trouble at Long Buckby when we lost. We have a bigger following than normal for the UCL so there will be a few more people who don't have the sun shining out their backsides. Lynn fans have been picked up for swearing at the ref this year at times or use of foul language at the grounds........I've heard it from alot of players of opposing sides as well and I remember a player being sent off at Irchester for swearing at the fans. If people are going to slate the lynn fans (whether they state it as a minority or majority!), maybe they should pick up on the same things in their own grounds. I have to admit that every away game I have gone to, I have felt welcomed this year and I thank all the clubs for that. There was only one which was Deeping. I turned up and felt quite a cold reception towards the small group I had come with. None of us were involved in the 'so called angry mob' at the end but still left feeling angry after a cold reception and ref who didn't use his officials (who saw it as a goal!). Erin, where does the arrogance come from? Yet again you state it as King's Lynn and not a section of the fans. So we all like that then? All I want is both sides of the stories told. That's what happens in Britain and during a police investigation (which is on going) anyone connected to Lynn or Coalville should not be talking to the press. I would be the first to throw a ban at any trouble makers but I can't do that and I'm sure our club will be enforcing them once they have been given out.

And no trouble at St Neots when we lost,no trouble at St Ives when we lost,so thats 4 games lost, trouble at one. What was the catalyst for trouble at Deeping, different prices for home and away fans, they got found guilty of that, but not punished, then there was the definite goal that was disallowed by an incompetent ref,who allegedly was that bad that the guy scoring the ref refused to score him on the night.Don't forget the congested pathway hindering people trying to leave the ground.

Kings Lynn have a significant minority of fans who, for want of a better phrase, are morons. I am sure they have many fans who just enjoy supporting their team but a number of them just want to insult, abuse and spit venom at a range of people from opposition players, opposition goalkeepers, referees, trainers, anyone who they choose to. I am quite sure this year hasn't been as bad as they have been winning most games so it is smiles all round but when they have been in losing or drawing positions this has increased ten fold. This minority are to be pitied really because let's be honest who would want to live in a place where this and watching speedway?? are your entertainment. Oh and deluding yourself that because you once played in the Conference North you are a massive football club.

Anyone else want a go at King's Lynn? No thanks not from us either, agree with Haydn. KL are more than welcome at KP land Hmmmmmm..... as long as lumpy stops those gyrations around the goal post in his thong of course also at the end of the day we may not see KL or any other prem team come to think of it at KL land

Nice to know people who have received us well are coming out in support for us,we have enjoyed our first season in the UCL,and if we don't get promoted,i will enjoy next season as well.So if we don't go up look forward to seeing Linnets again next season, and St Neots, would love to see Pagnell pass them if we don't. ;D
