the ucl prem div isnt their a small matter of winning the combination league first before even thinking of joining ucl, just because they took on the diamonds name after the afc does not make them rushden & diamonds. if i was a combination side trying to gain entry into the ucl & saw a team leapfrog me just because they have a few quid & 200 fans i would not be too impressed. im not anti afc far from it & i hope they get as far as they can & wish them all the success . but do it properly like everyone else had to Come off it Tyrone, which Combination clubs are trying to join the UCL? Answer none! I wish there were. If that was the case then I would agree with you. As it is our Division One already short of clubs, is effectively the bottom level of the system. That being the case there is no reason why the league should not welcome any new club with suitable facilities, from within it's footprint. That said I think Division One is the correct place.

yes legally once the football team folded you took the name on & were kindly given the clubs finances that were left over but thats about it as far as the comparisons go. from 2000 fans to 200 which is the average gate for the u18 side which dont get me wrong is very impressive & breaks all senior youth league attendances . yr a new football team trying to find yr feet on the local scene .you will be relying on a club to allow you to share their ground so u can fulfill fixtures & you will have to have a pretty decent budget to attract players to join yr club.so to repeat myself no yr not rushden & diamonds that thrilled us all for many yrs under max griggs yr a new club who are starting from scratch & i along with everyone else wishes you & yr supporters all the best for the long and windy rd ahead . do things properly start at the bottom & work yr way thru the leagues to earn the respect from everyone I don't know what finances "that were left over" you're referring to, maybe it was the Trust money that WE all saved up and that we voted to give ourselves back? So, as you mention, if we've a pretty decent budget (and I've not voted on it yet), then why put us in a lower division we could easily afford to buy? That's not competitive at all. As I understand it, we're NOT currently groundsharing at Raunds Town FC, we're hiring the facilities so if you know of any land going in our area we'd be pleased to talk to you about it. Actually tyrone we're averaging 330 for our U18 youth league games

Its great to see you forming out of the ashes. To enter the UCL you will need your own ground with floodlights, hardstanding, stand etc?
Were are you going to play, under FA Rules you can not ground share to gain promotion.....
It would be good to see you in the UCL but as I understand certain conditions need to meet to gain entry to the league

It would be good to see you in the UCL but as I understand certain conditions need to meet to gain entry to the league I don't think you need to have your own ground, just a suitable arrangement with an agreement in place. We wouldn't BE groundsharing just to gain promotion, Raunds Town have been superb to us. My understanding is that we have to present a business plan to the UCL, which we're working on, as well as the ground issues. Fund raising is going very well, the bank balance is getting better and we have over 300 members signed up to our Community Benefit Society.

I don't think the issue will be if you are allowed in or not,the issue will be where do you enter,we were lucky at King's Lynn all our facilities etc were in place, and it was down to the UCL or Ridgeons who accepted us.We were accepted by the UCL and they placed us in their premier div, which i believe has served the UCL well, every club has gained from us in the league as they will from you if your following keeps up.Good luck where ever you end up. ;D

Just an update, I'm led to believe it will ultimately be the FA who decides where we're placed. We've now got 400+ members signed up to our community benefit society football club and we're aiming to get 500 by the end of this season.
