Good luck to the new management, at least we at Huntingdon Town see the benefits of having a reserve team that can support the first team unlike our neighbors St Neots who believe they are so high and mighty they do not need a reserve team.

Southampton saint we progress our young players through the U18's then through the reserve team then onto our first team. Current first team players taking that route, Waterworth, Bowen, Lacey, Pinner and not to forget Rodgers and Colmer who st Neots tempted over there with big promisies who have now returned who also took that route at Huntingdon. St Neots have a good U18 squad which now have no where to progress and will now disapere. It must be nice to have money on tap from a chairmen with deep pockets and that electronic score board is more important than running reserve team, I take it the only reason you keep the U18's and linking up with Priory is keep route open to FA grants.

Ryan; I am not saying that at all...... I have lived in and around Huntingdon for almost thirty years and during this time Huntingdon Town or United for that matter have never really had a decent football club/team.
Thanks to your previous Chairman you now have a decent facility and I am sure that most people, including me wish you well. I just wish the continual implied criticism on both your web site and this one relating to St Neots Town would stop.
You are never mentioned down here, any match reports win or lose are posted on our web site. The business of your club is entirely your own affair, as is ours. So please ask your colleagues to give it a rest.

good shout bench warmer. Rick Marheineke also got good experience from the reserves as a young manager. Southamptonsaint, i dont really understand where you are coming from in regards to your first point. in regards to the constant sniping at st neots, that is just tough tit. i have said before that i am jealous of st neots and beneath that is an element of respect. st neots are leagues above town and thats a fact. people bitch and moan about anything superior to their own personal status and thats life. i dont think st neots help themselves generally but thats just my opinion.

Ryan/Benchwarmer.......All I am trying to explain is that continual implied criticism relating to club's other than your own....." to keep the route open to FA grants" does no one any good, particularly those making the remarks. Once again the latter is a subject which you know absolutely nothing about as far as St Neots Town is concerned.
There was absolutely no comments from down here made about the considerable grant monies which you gained to improve your ground. I came to the opening and thoroughly enjoyed my visit, as I have always done at some subsequent matches.
I think that this subject has now been exhausted; I have made my point and you have made yours. We are all entitled to an opinion. It will be good if you gain promotion this season, but beware there is a long way to go yet.

Positive news for Huntingdon town. The backup players will be given a chance to progress by the first team manager. Huntingdon town appear again to be making positives moves on and off the pitch. Huntingdon town will need to deliver on and off the pitch. Exciting times.
