I know it's cold but where is everybody! Anyway back to the football, don't know about all you UCL'ers out there but I don't think there is much chance in South Lincolnshire of any games going ahead tomorrow. Certainly Lincoln Road looks to be holding "indoor games", with SKY and the Egg Chasing providing the entertainment in the very warm Bar!

No better in Daventry Kev , -7 last night and still showing -3 at 11 am , our game against Deeping a very big doubt unless a miracle happens over night . Forcast is -7 again for overnight . Off to St Neots v Dav town tomorrow i thinks , they have 20 barrell burners all over the pitch as we speak ?

you had snow kb? about an inch to an an inch and a half overnight in Boston. Fun this morning clearing off snow off the car then a layer of ice! First team on bye week but reserves due to be at home tomorrow... Forecast for minus temperatures again overnight with snow expected late afternoon. Doesn't sound good...

At 11:00 our pitch wouldn't take a stud but at 2pm it was OK and still is. We've had the shaded areas covered over at night for the last 2 nights and they are good. So right now we hope to be playing but it really depends on just how low it goes tonight. Even if it's sunny tomorrow, if the air temperature is only 1 or 2 above it probably won't be enough.
Ironically, our 2nd pitch where Stilton Utd are playing their cup game was OK - even at 11:00 this morning. We kept the grass a bit longer over there and it seems to have added some protection - don't know how it will stand the -10 being forecast though. some last minute judgements for all games tomorrow morning - fingers crossed.
Some good footie on Sky throughout the afternoon though and we're opening at 12:30 to catch the early games, so can still get out for a couple of beers and a game or two of pool and table tennis.
The race night (starting at 7:15pm) looks like a sell out - thanks to the 200 punters who have booked their tickets and we can always use the VIP lounge if we get too many downstairs so still come on down!

Forgot to mention the Hunts County Cup game at In2itive Park on sunday. 2pm KO but subject to pitch inspection at 10-10:30. Come on down and see the County youngsters in action - free admission and plenty of hot drinks/soup etc. Jeff

I will be amazed if there are any games played locally tomorrow. The St.Neots website is the most amusing at present, calling for everyone to turn up with oil drums and wood...!! Good luck on that one.

Benchwarmer; just give it a rest. Why do you always choose to criticise St Neots Town, no matter what and more particularly as your pitch at Huntingdon resembles something akin to a cabbage patch it is both unwise and foolish. As I have said to one of your colleagues previously on this forum, your Club is never mentioned here, we wish you all the very best in your quest for promotion.
All the club just down the A1 is trying to do is play a game of Football tomorrow !!

kings lynn v cogenhoe called off. grissles hot air fails to prevent a frozen pitch.

Southampton saint looking STTV your pitch will resemble a cabbage patch after you play on it today as it looks as you are defrosting the top and giving the water no where to drain, so is it worth ruining a very good pitch for the rest of the season to get one game on.

I agree with benchwarmer on this one... An utterly pointless waste of time - when does common sense kick in? I bet the groundsman will be well chuffed with all the scorch marks in the penalty area as a result of this - so it would seem - failed publicity stunt.
