It's very tight at the top with each team having only 3 or 4 games left, with all of them having promotion in their own hands but who do you think the top 2 will be?

1. Huntingdon 2. Bugbrooke 3. Harborough
The reason for this is I fancy Huntingdon to take the points in the big game this weekend. Also Harborough have a tricky midweek game against Rothwell Corinthians next week. Then it would appear to be a straight shootout for 2nd place in the last game of the season which i think bugbrooke will win.

Well todays results seem to have sorted out 3rd place, but the title race is still very much alive. Huntingdon look to have a reasonably straigtforward task to win their last 2. Harder for Harborough, but I reacon they'll do the same and win the title by a point.

its been an interesting title race, with lots of twists and turns, a win for Harborough on Tuesday confirms a top two finish, but as you say sg they have a tricky run in for the title..
If you are right at Harborough do indeed win the title, has anyone ever finished bottom one season and top the next? pretty dramatic improvement, with the same management team and plenty of the same players?
I believe im right in saying they are the only one of the three teams not paying their players

Fantastic achivement by Harborough whatever happens. As for finishing bottom one season and top the next, it has happened as recently as 2008/09 - 2009/10 with Irchester United. That however certainly did involve large payments to players, allegedly

Skitsoarmy, the payment of players in division 1 is a tricky subject. Is it wages or travel expenses? You never really know what goes on behind closed doors. Whitworths DO NOT pay players and I'm pretty sure Buckingham don't. It would be interesting to match budget with finishing positions.

Hello Cowboy, or should it be "howdy!". Watched Welltwhits against Buckingham today and saw a very good game, the football was exceptional and the surroundings and atmosphere were as you would want it. Niether teams pay players and on what I saw today, were none the worse for it.

It's difficult to see Bugbrooke or Huntingdon dropping any points from their remaining home games. Harborough v Bugbrooke seems destined to be a play off for runners up spot and promotion.

Huntingdon should get the point required next week to win division 1, Bugbrooke should get the points midweek, leaving a great play off next week for second place between Harborough and Bugbrooke.

With Bugbrooke losing tonight the top two will be Huntingdon and Harborough. Huntingdon looking as they will be crowned champs on Saturday hope the league allows the cup to be at Huntingdon on Saturday. Shame after the season Harborough have had that Bugbrooke will still go up as Harboroughs ground is not up to code 1. no stand, 2 no path around the pitch.
