I believe it's a sort of 'first come-first served'. A player will be registered to the first club to submit the form. If the player decides he'd rather play for another club who also submit a registration form, then the Registration Secretary will advise the latter to submit 'Seven Days' to the first club.

Yes Foz - first come first served.
I just find the constant Twitter feeds of "signed this player, signed that" a bit of a joke, when, unless they are contracted, they can register interet for anyone up to July 1st...

Agree with you Gav- the most important stage is Jeremy's confirmation, only then has a player signed. Still the tweets are informative and may also be used by clubs to loosely advise others to keep 'hands off' whether the player has signed or not. It's being used a tool - any club could put out they've signed Joey Barton I suppose if they wanted to...unlike Wembley who have signed Seaman, Parlour, Keown etc albeit for the FA Cup only...i hope we get them in the draw in a couple of weeks at our place!
