The Club is pleased to announce the signing of prolific striker Michael Byrne from Deeping Rangers. He was much appreciated and very successful in his previous time with DTFC.
Manager Steve Walker commented:
" I am delighted that Michael has come here to play for Desborough. I would like to thank Deeping for their help with securing this signing so quickly. Tthis will enable Michael to be in our squad for the visit of Long Buckby tomorrow night (Tuesday) and will also mean he is eligible to play next week's County cup and next month's FA Vase game at Swaffham. Michael is a prolific scorer at this level. He scored 30 goals last season, and it is something we have missed this season already, especially after Saturday's game at Irchester. He brings experience and finishing of the highest order and I am certain this will help this club to move on and to where we want to be this season in the top areas of the league. This is a great signing for Desborough Town Football Club."
