I'm assuming this is because of the vast travelling required for a midweek game.

All the County Cup games are 730ko, check the NFA website. That's the only reason. There's also the possibility of extra time, pens etc. With it being local for everyone 730 is fine I hope. Most players will be there within ten minutes!

A few things to point out Foundrymankev,
I think you will find that the S&L v Desborough game is the only game that is kicking off at half past seven... all of the other ties kick off at 7.45pm. When the draws are made the NFA put down a provisional kick-off time and matchday but in the Senior Cup nearly every club ignores this and kicks off at the more traditional midweek kick-off time.
Also the League Knock-Out Cup competition also includes extra time and penalties if their games are level yet when you played Peterborough Northern Star that game kicked off at quarter to eight. yet S&L didn't bring forward the kick off time of that game to accommodate extra time and penalties.
It does seem to me that S&L like to mess around with the kick-off times when they play Desborough like for example kicking off at 11am on Boxing Day last year and now this silly kick-off time which all of the other participating clubs have ignored. Maybe when S&L come to Desborough on Easter Monday we shall change the kick-off time to say 4.45pm just to complicate things in a similar fashion.

As I say, check the NFA website....both games Tuesday are a 730pm ko according to the County site and it's a county competition. PNS in the UCL League KO Cup, 745pm, UCL normal midweek ko time. The 11am Boxing Day time was to allow players and officials to have the opportunity to enjoy the remainder of Boxing Day with their families. I'm not really sure why we're having a discussion over 15 minutes for a game which is 15 minutes travel (and it'll make a difference to me as I'm travelling back from London). In short, I went with the NFA website, advised John, who did question the ko time so I checked with NFA. Nobody has objected to the ko time. From my time at Desborough it was often said 'we don't go to S&L anyway' so it's hardly like it's going to put anyone out

As you say Kev, kick off anytime - I'm not going. Bruges or S&L?

Enjoyed a typical local derby game with both sides playing good football. Was getting prepared for the penalties when Burrows produced a goal out of nothing. Good luck in the next round.

Fingers crossed for a juicy home tie against Corby or Kettering [?]
No doubt we'll get a stupid draw like Daventry or Long Buckby away...
