As no one seems to be backing the Cooks, guess what... Cogenhoe Spencer final at 6 fields, infront of 6,500 with the cooks clinching it 3-1!! (we can all dream of the perfect final!!!)
If its Cogenhoe v Spencer it will more than likley be at Raunds, its the nearest ground2 both sides... and with the old boy from raunds being on the League management committee im sure they will get the final on that basis..

Maybe, but I reckon Buckby is probably the closest Prem ground for you both?

can't expect a crowd to go in the dark to get to Buckby's ground!
I'd say Raunds too as at least they have decent facilities and a decent pitch.
But they have to get to the final yet!

Final is normally midweek.
Would possibly make more sense to be on a Saturday but hey ho.
Still remember last seasons bloodfest between Potton and Woodford - ouch

I see in may (03rd), the Northamptonshire FA Junior Cup final between Peterborough Northern Star & Wellingborough Town 2004 is at Sixfields Stadium, Northampton!?!?! So you never know! League cup final could be sixfields (not sure about the 6.500 crowd). ;D

Difference is that the NFA will probably get a very heavily subsidised rate (if not free) for their cup comp.
Should the UCL wish to hire it they are looking at about a grand.
Plus with the Cobblers being in the play offs potentially, they don't like to hire it out too much in April/May.

Blimey!
Aylesbury's ground is another thought, but then again you are going away from UCL terratory (further for fans to travel). I know the Berks & Bucks cup final was held there last season.
I would of thought Raunds would be the best bet due to there good facilities???

Easy. PNS are affiliated to the Northants FA (as are Peterborough Utd) I know Peterborough is in Cambs but it's to do with the old borders I think when Peterboro was in northants (I think) thats why Peterborough play in the Maunsell Cup (normally against Cobblers or Diamonds) Any team affiliated to the Northants FA can apply! Next question

old borders Next question Borders have been changed, why don't the Peterborough teams now affiliate themselves with the Cambs FA?
