I would like to think that we are in with a shout of picking up something this year but as we keep telling the lads "take one game at a time" and today we beat n'pton harlequin 6 nil! and to be fair it should have been double figures. Who knows its a long season and at this point everybody is obviously thinking they can beat the anybody!

Thrapston won 7-0 against prior marston who were awful to be honest!! Could've been 10 and that was without 3 key players mainly forwards!!
alot obviously deprends on the draw but hopefully we can progress

Once again, its strange how cup games give you a false dawn, beware, Northampton Harlequin are a side that were beaten 4-0 pre season by a Northampton Sunday league outfit and Priors Marston are the poorest team in the Combination Prem without a win to their name.

It does give a false dawn as we should have beaten them comfortably and did! But, as we are all aware there have been upsets in the cup and we could have quite easily been another! So credit where its due to my lads for doing a professional job against a poor outfit but also, a potential banana skin!!

So credit where its due to my lads for doing a professional job against a poor outfit but also, a potential banana skin!! What you say is true really, we have had to play two fixtures from teams at the bottom of our division, both teams were scrapping for their lives and gave us a harder game than we expected. And the old cliche of "you can only beat what is put in front of you" is very true. How many times have lower league teams beaten Prem outfits, look at this week, Fulham etc....

Fletch and CL I agree with both of your comments. Any CL we play you twice in as many weeks soon so that will be interesting?

The winners of the Sileby v Rothwell Corinthians match could go close. Also PNS will be there or thereabouts. All depends on the draw really. Watching a N.Bucks v NCL match on Saturday, I'm even more certain that the winners will come from the UCL. Maybe Spencers reserve team even. But more likely a Div 1 side and I reckon Whitworths are favourites.
