what a game , sorry its late and i am at least 3 sheets to the wind . burton started well and by half time were 2-1 up and dominating procedings . the second half saw a change as burton had the wind but could not make it pay and sleaford dominated but all in all a good game the ref and lino were a little bit biased to sleaford but a draw would have been a fair result . sleaford town were very hospitable and welcomed us. well good luck to them and may all committee people be as welcoming as they were . they are a very solid team and deserve to be one of the favourites even thou they should have been down to 10 men (thats my opinion) against us ( must have been that grantham ref ) but nice bunch of lads and very physical we look forward to thne next fixture at home when we might get a result with a fair ref and linesman (cheers lads good game )

yeah it was a great game the ref did have an influence on the result unfortunately.the number 2 should have walked for an elbow which the ref acknowledged he saw by booking him.great comment from sleafords chairman saying at half time he would have taken the draw.its not often you come away losing 4-2 feeling good about it but the score really dose not reflect the game or how far burton have come in a very short time.

Must admit the score line flattered them and think a point each was a fair result for the days proceedings. But after 2 games it shows the massive leap forward that this club has taken, and with this bunch of lads who knows!!! And also cant believe that the ref didn't send him off!! you could see the elbow from the side line and then to top it off, he throws a head butt at one my lads and gets away with that as well!! Shocking!!

The game changed on one very strange and wrong decision by the local Grantham referee in the second half. Burton were leading 2-1 and playing well. For some unknown reason the ref decided to make up his own law ( as explained to me by the ref post match, ok ref maybe in friendly but this was a hard physical league encounter ) and not send Sleaford No2 off for a blatant clear elbow to face with the Burton forward in the clear on goal, two reasons to have been sent off. The only peson in the ground that agreed with the ref was the ref !! Most of the teams in the league have to travel long distances to play at Sleaford, suggest the referees also travel from distance. I am sure Sleaford would not disagree with that. They have a great set up in place, make you feel welcome and definately the team to beat this year. The result may have been different if Burton had kept there shape after the refs poor decision and also held onto their dug out !! To sum up , Sleaford will again be the team to chase this year and I will put my mortgage on the line that the new BPW team put together by the Lambert twins will not finish bottom this year, just ask Sleaford.

the local Grantham referee Local ........... Grantham is 15 miles away, I would bet the Referee wont be from much further when we come to you the ref decided to make up his own law ( as explained to me by the ref post match ) and not send Sleaford No2 off for a blatant clear elbow to face with the Burton forward in the clear on goal I didnt see the incident, but I spoke to the ref later as one of your lads did and I also asked the lad in question what happened. The ref said he would have definately gone off if the Burton lad hadnt retaliated, so are you saying they both should have been off? I will put my mortgage on the line that the new BPW team put together by the Lambert twins will not finish bottom this year, just ask Sleaford. I would agree, as long as you dont lose the team, I saw 30 minutes of the match in total, and would say it was a much harder game than we faced at Kempston, and am glad we got the points, as I feel quite a few teams will lose points to you. Good luck against PNS next week
