some people may becoming bored with this conversation but i am really intrigued with 1 question? if there was no change from last with gary 'the legend' ling still in charge with his young, exciting, local group of lads how does everyone think they would do this season? or so far?... compared 2 the new management with only 4 players from last seasons squad making appearances in the first team??? i rekon the lionheart of lingys boys would beat the new mob... anyone agree or disagree would be interesting 2 know! thanks

town player, if you touch a raw nerve you will get a reaction. I think lingy's team would have been stronger and harder to beat, why, because they had the experience of last season behind them. swannells team may be ok, but, who are they? and how long will they stay? heard a rumour swannell is moving to london, he will do well to make training twice a week and a match at weekends.

appologies i didnt realise it was a raw nerve, but your points are very interesting and i must say i agree with u 100% being a town player myself i still dont know most of peoples names myself! that would be interesting if he did move because surely that would mean he would give up his post as manager??? if so are these players gonna stick around... over the bridge thanks for your thoughts

Town fans seem to be a bit negative. This year's team has the making of something good and it doesn't matter where they come from as long as they put in their best performance for Town and once they gel together, they could be awesome as they are playing a nice passing game that will get better. Who cares if they don't come from the area.
Some people also seem to think that the young lads will be beaten by experience and have no chance in the league; i don't think so as seen in the game v Irchester where the opposition defenders were really huffing and puffing by the end as the young legs run them ragged.

hey bruno, "who cares where the players come from." I can tell you who? the supporters care. Godmanchester crowds are up over the 100 mark again now from 20 last season, now Ian Jackson and his band of out of town renegades are gone.
I'm not saying the present players aint good enough, but they wont pull in many locals, and its the locals who will ultimately keep the club going. how come the manager couldn't keep all the good players from last year, and carry on their development? and whats the point in playing a peterborough player who can't make the reserves at posh
how many cambridge players are there now newman has been sacked?? how often are cambridge training at town?

Can't really comment on why the Manager couldn't keep last years players as wasn't around. but i guess if the team get on a winning run it might attract a few more fans. Posh don't have a reserve team.

Did anyone see the rothwell game? I heard that the kid from posh played well and set up the first goal and a couple of new players were tried and looked good. anyone got any comments on how the game went.

towns new signings looked very good yesterday adam weston was class and will surely be the best player in the div - read about him in the non league paper today when playing last season for truro - adam collins was also outstanding until he got sent off - he has just signed from harlow town 1st team the 2 subs who also came on looked very sharp - both signed from hanwell in london - well done paul for pulling these type of players to the club it shows the manager means buisness and that town are not running a social club for local lads to get a game every week as was last season - our best position in the ucl to date 4th at present -long may it continue -the size of huntingdon deserves better players than just locals - if town keep progressing the crowds will get better - 30,000 people live in the town and are crying out to do well - well done paul and the boys
