well I was so convinced that Saints would see off Fletton, I went instead to watch our next opposition. Town looked to be all over the place, a very dissapointing display with a lot of noise coming from the direction of the dug out. despite that late goal I thought they were well beaten. But heyho Saints lost as well and couldn't have been any better.

town where very poor today - it may sound like sour grapes but hampton scored there 2 goals straight after half time in a 15 minute spell when both the offical linesman ran down the same touchline for 25 minutes of the game and the ref said that the sun was in the linesmans eyes so they had to use the same line this resulted in both linesman flagging for balls out at the same time and when balls went off over the other side only the ref could see which way to give the throws heard the lads say afterward that that 25 minute spell had put them all of there game - but who knows i hope the club will speak to the hunts fa about this one understand old town players ryan hunt and tom morran did not play today for stneots - it would be lovely to see them both back at town playing 1st team football we could do with them both at the present

Sorry Townie, Ryan Hunt has hamstring problems and Tom Moran has a dead leg, no more than that, they have both proved more than capable in the premier division, I'm afraid your present managers ultimatum at the start of the season, of sign now or don't bother coming back has cost you a decent keeper. he is well thought of at St Neots and as far as I know he hasn't been been given any ultimatums there.

think its fair to say fred that whilst paul is with town cant see the likes of hunt moran etc returning to town. But if as you say fred they are doing well at st neots why would they want to return. I'd like to think that maybe swannell has learned from that and hope he doesnt jump the gun anymore, he needs to as it was the under 18 player bassett who scored for them again on sat lets see if he looks after him ay

Yep saw Bassett and another young lad look like they could be decent players, but surely players have to prove to the Manager that their ability and attitude are good enough, not the other way round. The Manager has to prove to the board/comittee that he can mould a team good enough. If you start pandering to players whims, surely you are on a rocky road

Was at the game thought that Hampton were up for it rode their luck towards the end, but good luck to them, on a positive note two young lads Lee Bassett (Forward) and Adam Collins (Midfield) look like they could cope in Premier Division, and even higher standard.

town were not up for it one bit - the 2 under 18 lads ran there socks off and they were the only ones who looked up for it i would blame both goals on turner at right back - hes not good enough at this standard

it just seems so strange why does names like hunt and moran keep being brought into the scene. ive been a fan of town since they where the old sun pub why cant you people who put bad comments about the town just stop beingt so bloody petty. they do not deserve all this

Jim, I expect names like hunt and moran keep getting brought up because they are only two of a number of quality players to slip through towns grasp. as a supporter of many years standing you must surely ask yourself why?. As Rob says above, towns best players were under 18s, although its a bit strong to be singling out one player ( turner) as a villan. And if indeed towns best players were u18s then that fact surely above all others underminds the present manager and his out of town players. Does it also follow I wonder if town have lost so many quality players before, that they have no chance of keeping their present youngsters

That is a bit strong to single out one player publicly like that especially as theres 10 other on the pitch or was i right in in hearing that adam collins got sent off again. he needs to set up a direct debit with the fa with all the fines he keeps getting bless him. On a more serious note i can only assume that what jim said was more out of frustration as they say the truth does hurt like you jim some people do care what happens up there so in their minds its not petty. all clubs have their own set of problems its how they deal with them that matters. just look at st neots now they faced their problems head on got rid of the old heirachy and brought in new blood, new ideas and things look to be on the up again albeit we all know it wont happen overnight. Yes towns committee have done the right things up till now but maybe its time to let go of the reigns and let someone else move the club on to better things. From my own personal point of view they are turning the club into a no go zone for local talent .......things do need to change up there but someone seems frightened of change

hi lord b - no adam collins did not get sent off this week suprise tell me what have the committee got to do with the local talent as the managers of each 3 teams pick the players each week i dont think the committee get involved in team selections do they ? its the managers that ask local players or outside players to come to the club not the committee
i think if you asked nearly all the players are they bothered about the club of the pitch i think you would get the same answer -( no not really all we want to do is to play football)

Hunts rob lets not go over this again on here like i said to you before under your townie membership its merely my own personal point of view
i sincerely hope paul can bring back local players but i rather suspect he's got an uphill struggle after the things he said to them. Hence players are bothered about things off the pitch or town would not have had a petition at the end of last season from their own players over the Lingy affair. but hey ho good luck in your quest to keep your local talent that are playing at st neots, st ives godmanchester etc .....would have been nice to see them still at town thats all
