ok lets keep it postive, the manager will go, so thanks for his efforts the season will end and pre-season will start a raft of ex town players will hopefully come back and we will all start smiling again i have spent the last four months getting hammered on friday nights as i have been unable to play on saturdays due to injury, its been great going out and then waking up to a fat bird who has been picked from cromwells bar. its been great munching on a fry up at 3 pm and then watching Soccer saturday and seeing my bets go down the pan, its even been great going to the pub on saturday night and talking about the fat mess i pulled the night before. but honestly theres nothing better than staying in on a friday and getting prepared to play on saturday and then having a beer with the lads after the game and enjoying a win, even the moaning is ok. that is what i miss and all the fat birds in the world cant make up for that. lets enjoy our football, because we cant play it when we are dead. doherty over and out

If the manager appointed is the one I believe it to be then you can forget about local players coming back as this chap is already tapping up players from where he is from, about 25 miles from huntingdon

ryan, which Mr Yezek are you talking about? As there are three generations involved in football, and two at town.

for the record if it is the person who you think it is coming in to huntingdon next year i can assur you 100% that the local talent will be a 'priority' to him - however the job is to take huntingdon to the prem with the strongest team and if that means bringing players in - then so be it

Moralbiffa i agree with that statemant but surely you as a PNS man cant honestly say that hasn't cost you money. My guess is that as you are now posting on the town thread you will be one of those coming over. You do need some good outsiders with a blend of locals IF YOU CAN GET THEM but as been said on here before i'm sure it will cost to bring in good out of town players

From what I hear the players did get some loose change to help bring them in - however the mercenary players of the world will be not be getting involved and the many loyal, hungry, committed players to add to the local talent will help bring the club forward

Dont think the committee would thank you for calling it loose change but hey ho its a lot of money when you dont have a well off benefactor/sponsor
but i wish you well and the best of luck and i hope your loyal, hungry and committed players are treated with the same respect

From what I can gather PNS had very little in the way of local players in their team this year and the better players were the ones bought in from Corby. Some of these better players have since left and as a result PNS form has dipped dramatically. Okay I may be wrong but I'd put good money on there being a lot of players involved with Huntingdon next year who are not local and from the various posts on this thread that seems to be a problem?
