well have to say that theres been another twist to this one in the appontment of Tommy Cooper at PNS ..........i'm sure he was heavily linked to being the town manager last year and as i understand he was quite succesful with Ortonians wasnt he?
So lets beg the question ... if things dont turn out as town would like under Mr Young are we to assume that the friendship between town and PNS will be tested if they renew their interest in Mr Cooper next season ........lets face it Mr Young is the 4th managerial 1st team appontment in 2 years at town

mr judgejohn am sure mr young will want to thank you for your comments and greatful for your support. As for Top three finish - well you have to have goals before the season and think on the positive side.
As for 4 managers in 2 yrs shows huntingdon are keen to succeed and not affraid to make changes to pull the club forward - and so they should do.
The more successful you are the more problems you will incur!!
And from what Im reading and hearing we will be very successful next year - bring it on

moralbiffa thats rubbish and you know it ................. lingy had 2 thirds of the season as manager and had laid the foundations of a good young side winning 9 of his last 13 games if my info is correct. you do not build a good successful side overnight it takes time and that is something that wasnt given to lingy. so who's to say it wasnt given to paul swannell and in turn darren young. successful teams dont encounter more problems they merely get more criticism but attract better players.
but lets ask as to why didnt darren stay at PNS and continue building what seemed to be an up and coming side

mmm. maybe you should get the facts before throwing stones about lingy from what I hear!
and why are you so anti Huntingdon - negative alarmist springs to mind, maybe you should channel all your efforts into positive direction rather than negative about you home turf!!

This is the kind of in-fighting that might hinder Darrens progress. I hope not but feel at some point someone has to draw a line under the past and move forward to give Darren and the lads a chance to deliver. looking forward to meeting them next season.

judgejohn - dont worry this is not infighting - this is someone looking in from the outside now nothing to do with the running or manangement side of the club
of course spectators have a right to air there views but this is not infighting within the club

no iagree judgejohn it is not helpful to the club but we all know at the club that darren will get our full support and as i said this is a spectator of the club not linked with the club
our 3 former 1st team managers - 2 still come to watch each week and fully support the club and paul swannell who is staying with the club next season - so we cant be that bad at town
