What prices have you got for club website design/production? Who do you reckon the cheapest/best web hosting supplier is?

For StNeotsFC the desing is free, as I've personally created it. Incidentally I'm currently in the process of overhauling the current site. For hosting I use eUKhost.com. For StNeotsFC I use their 'silver package' which gives 700MB Web Space and 10GB Bandwidth, along with unlimited MySQL databases and unlimited email addresses. More importantly (for me at least) their support is very good. That package is £37.99 per year, though their cheapest package is £22.99.

I'm using Big Wet Fish at the moment with the gold plan which gives 800mb storage space and 100gb bandwidth which is good The support is good as well, link in signature

It depends whether it's really "unlimited", as usually has a 'fair use' get out in the terms & conditions.
Personally I'd recommend checking out the support provided by the host (review or their forums) before choosing a host. It's all well and good having a cheap hosting package which gives you more than you'll use, however if the support is poor then the moment there is a problem (eg. unable to upload or get a server related error) it becomes a nightmare.
With a previous host I briefly used I paid a fairly low price, yet when I encountered a problem I found their support to be unhelpful, with them trying to blame the software instead of the server. When the software concerned is MediaWiki, I'm inclined not to believe them, particularly as I'd also spent a week with another bit of software which they finally admitted the problem was with a bad Perl upgrade. Unsurprisingly I changed hosts, and the one I now use has reasonable prices and very good support.

Ross: Whilst I've not used that host there is something which rather concerns me, which is the links in the footer or rather lack of them. The 'FAQs', 'Disclaimer', and 'Legal Notices', aren't working links, which for me sounds alarm bells. On a similar note the links page does seem rather spam like. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that host, just that I personally wouldn't touch it.

That host is run by a friend of mine, who works for a UK host, and so is able to sub let storage etc. Ill admit, he hasnt done the best job on his website, i have told him a number of times to get it updated. I currently have a hosting account with him, and havent had a single problem with them, so they come highly recommended by me, and im not just saying that coz its a mate of mine that runs it. They offer a reliable service, that is fairly cheap. I currently have 5 sites hosted with them, and am going to move my biggest site over to them, well when the current hosting plan runs out. 30 + plus people online at any time, 400 members and around 13,000 posts. Database size is around 12Mb at the moment
