Yeh, a super game at the Dog and Duck yesterday evening. Considering we had a number of first team players either on holiday or injured, we had a great game and the lads played well. We won 5-0 but the result was not important. It was the fact that we played excellent football and it was good to watch. Alex Malong made his debut in goal and played a good confident game, handled well. Tim Wooding scored a cracker from a free kick, that has become his trade mark and Alfie Taylor played as though his life depended on it. All in all a good game. "John Boy"

Alexis Malong made his debut for Wellingborough last season in the 3-2 defeat against Woodford Utd in the Senior Cup.
Was a hat-trick from one of your new signings not worthy of a mention?

I stand to be corrected buggalugs, I was not at the Woodford United game. As John Hughes has become something of a permanent resident in the Wellingborough goal, I assumed it was he that played in the Woodford game. Regarding the game v Whitworths last Friday evening, oh yes, by the way, Kev Ward scored a hatrick! Apart from that hatrick he played a very nice game. There, I hope that will keep you happy!!!!!!! Not too sure, I think it was Stamford. I'm sure someone will now correct me.

Stocky and quick? You can say that again! He was not included in the line up against Rugby Town last night, more is the pity. Hope we see more of him this season. "John Boy"
