UPDATE...

Apparently the new entrance isn't being used as it is considered unsafe. Does anyone know what is happening with the development? Many of the recent issues should have been sorted by the chairman. Has anyone seen up-to-date plans of the new ground? Does anyone other than the chairman know what the exact arrangement is with the developers using the former nursery and much of the car park?

I do not think that anyone other than the Chairman knows. suffice to say that it was an extremely poor SAINTS side who lost quite badly against a not particularly good Lowestoft team.I believe that Chris Howells, john Taylor or Steve Khunes side would have defeated them quite easily. I am not blaming the current managers team, for having lost almost all of the original team, several of his recent signings are cup tied and I suppose the inevitable happened.Far more interesting was to note the absolute absence of draft beers with all of the various pumps being covered with cloths and beer being served from cans from behind the bar. This probably can mean only one thing. How ironic when the game was apparently sponsored by Cambridge Beers! The visitors brought a good deal of support with them, probably out numbering the locals;what an impression all of this must have made. After all Rowley Park is the home of ST NEOTS TOWN; what a shambles!

I am sure they did, after all we gave away a penalty after about ten seconds ! Actually they were a fairly decent crowd and there were a lot of them. Fairly noisy too but good natured and performed some good chanting. Their team though was nothing special, although apparently they are one of the favourites to win the vase this year. Sadly they had absolutely nothing to beat. I see one of their fans"Chubbie" has ported on the SAINTS website wishing us all the best of luck for the rest of the season. God knows we will need it!

I didnt really want to comment on this but yes, it did look embarrasing having all the pumps covered.I don't know whats going on but I'm sure everyone can draw their own conclusions. I just hope there is a delivery of draft beers before saturday evening otherwise the Stag Night could end up being a disaster.
Football wise, I think we were beaten by a well drilled team who looked like champions. the lads probably played to their level and on this occasion, it just wasn't good enough. At least we wont face teams of their stature in our league this term.

I've been down there this morning and there hasn't yet been a delivery from the brewery. That's not to say one might not come this afternoon, but it doesn't look good for the Stag Night at this rate. Still the Lowerstoft fans' spontaneous "We drank you out of beer" song did amuse me, if only for the irony.

Thanks to all of those who helped out last night, especially to Ian Parr & co for ensuring we had enough alcohol for the evening. It was a good turnout, a few people absent, but overall a good evening.

Rivals we may be, but its nice to see something going right for the Saints this week. I am glad the evening proved to be a success.

Rob is doing a great job as groundsman at the club as far as I'm concerned.
