Having just read 'passit's comments about a new manager at jubilee park, i have also heard a rumour that 'irishrover' is looking to take up the reins if his club do not secure promotion this year. Can the club confirm this as i feel that although recent results have'nt gone to plan, i feel darren & his staff need time to assemble a squad capable of climbing up the table. Bringing in a new manager means that the building process has to start all over again. This has happened to many times in recent seasons at jubille park & the constant changing of managers will only see the club finish in the bottom half of the table season after season. DB thats the gossip, however again how many managers over last 5 seasons, 6 or 7, who would want the job under present chairman, is it a hobby or powertrip for him? Guess time will tell at the end of the season as to answer to that question TC? But it does looks like Huntingdon have slipped back into the old bottom half table habits again

Sorry. I meant 'Martin Ray' as the current Huntingdon Town manager, not Daren Young as i wrongly quoted in my previous message. My apologies.

firstly martin ray is doing a fine job as manager of the first team and the club has no problems with martins efforts and hard work in trying to get the team out of the bottom 2 also passit if you knew anything about running a club its a committee that hires and fires managers - not the chairman the club is now running fine off and on the field with locals all getting there chance in all 3 teams good luck to clive who was with the ressies for taking a step higher the new ressies manager is mark furness who was a very good player in the area and i am sure will do well in the ressies

Hi townie. Im glad that you feel Martin is doing a fine job & i hope that the committee sont make a decision in choping & changing managers again in the near future. Off the field, yes, things are looking very positive with your new facilities & they will be a credit to HTFC & the envy of other UCL sides. I've read in a local paper that, as quoted by HTFC, "that they hope results pick up sooner rather than later so as not to be 'relegated'. Is this true that there is relegation this season from the UCL div 1?? And if so, which league will HTFC drop down into. Would be a shame for the hard work put in that a club of HTFC size will not be competing at UCL level if they were to be relegated.

How can you say '' doing a fine job?'' Huntingdon have only one win in last 10 games, also known fact that when a team is not performing the chairman or committee make it public that they back the manager. before sacking him, not my words, Huntingdons track record speaks for its self, either way hope that Martin Ray is watching his back and starts to put together some results soon

sounds like darren young talking-surely not martin and his team ok have not got the results lately but we are sure this will come the club is a much better place under martin and its better to have locals in than 11 players from corby and still bottom of the league as we were after the first 2 months of the season

Im not interested in who you think I am, just interested in the football facts Mr Townie, you have one of the biggest clubs with growth potential in th ucl so also getting the results over Huntingdon, again, as with all ucl opposition is my only concern. However now you mention it, take a look at other clubs in the first eight games of the season then have a look at the end of the season, thats when you judge a manager, Look at desborough or Burton park as an example, all now doing well, good to see clubs showing loyalty, but your team sheets in 1st eight weeks shows at least 5 or 6 local players in the starting 11, even your current manager, Martin Ray, now thats convenient for him to get the job after playing at the start of the season, makes you wonder or are you just that gullible. If that is the case then hes getting a taste of his own medicine, ether way your not the only team work hard to progress so good luck to them all, as long as you dont beat us!!

There seems to be a bit of knowledge about Huntingdon Town by some one who claims the be a ON Chenecks supporter. or is it spelt "Chenicks?" clue is in the format maybe.
darknight. generaldogsbody. passit. ex manager? very interesting or very child like behaviour.
p.s Huntingdon did beat us "Chenicks" that is 3-1 ?

so do you always check who played each game on every team sheet then before attacking a club or its chairman? or just Huntingdon for some reason maybe? how many players at Thrapston Town are living there then? i am sure you will do you best to find that one out by checking ucl chatter and ebucl.com, that hole is getting deeper by every posting. enlighten me then, as you are from ON Chenecks, which is the correct spelling, how do you know who is or is not a local Huntingdon player? does it say on a team sheet somewhere? where a player comes from? i see you slate a close friend of mine on here very recently, is that because you think he is going to Huntingdin Town? his bubble has not burst and if it does he will be sacked just the same as you were. Baby dummy spitting antics like yours are why the site are losing members. what "OPERASHON" did you have then? was it to remove you head from a dark place between your legs?
sorry if this post upset anyone as it is only posted for one silly childish person.

I feel really quite sorry for Huntingdon Town. This seemingly endless tittle tattle, about absolutely nothing ,goes on and on; with some of it appearing to come from within the club.
The club has a hard time since resuming within the UCL and perhaps living within the shadow of three premier sides (all with aspirations to move upwards)has not helped, but things take time to establish. They have a new ground which is currently being developed into a proper football stadium,an excellent Chairman who I believe has a long term vision for the club and perhaps most importantly a good catchment area which I believe will ultimately secure a good future for the club.
Lets have some positive thoughts from now on as I am confident that by next season everything will be beginning to improve!!

Southamptonsaint....i totally agree with your comments. Why do 1 or 2 people who comment on 'UCL Chatter' have something against HTFC ?? Are they scared of seeing the club try to do well ?? I'm not a supporter or have anything in connection with the club but i do follow there progress & i wish the club every success for the amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Many UCL clubs would love to have an ambitious chairman & magnificent facilities such as Huntingdon Town & although results have'nt gone as planned, i'm sure the club will make big strides next season in there quest for promotion. 'Passit'??......i dont know you personally but you certainly have something against the club. Is there any reason for this ?? Like 'Southamptonsaint' said....lets have some POSITIVE comments on this forum & not negative !!! As per my previous post....i did'nt have a reply from anyone at HTFC regarding whether there is relegation from the UCl Div.1 this season as was quoted in a local paper. Any truth in this ??
