Could be a "lively meeting" then! Oh for another Terry Bates. All Clubs want is some firm guidance and then a decision. What a farce. Does this mean that Management and players at S & L will now move on again, as Occupation Road is a dump, end of story. Not just my opinion but nearly every Club and officials in the UCL.

General Have to agree with you there. There's been lots of talks about dates etc but its about time the clubs affected knew where they stand so they can get started on any remedial work. And yes Occupation Road is a dump ( except the clubhouse ) ... at least Bourne have one dugout in each half ( just ) and not both in one half !!!!

Went to Rothwell Corinthians last night for the first time in four years. Yes it has improved but on another thread I see that they have spent £10k on bringing the ground up to standard. I think that they should have set aside some cash for a mower, the pitch was a disgrace, the players couldn't run on it, let alone the ball. It made a mockery of a UCL Final and made most players look a fool at some point. Credit to both sides for still producing a relatively exciting game.

Sileby having now finished 3rd in Div 1 and committed to reaching F grade, could they suddenly find themselves in the Prem ?

Being committed is not good enough, ask PNS.

Sileby can go up. i think you will find that they had applied. With having a great set up and lights already up when inspected and only needing a seated stand and a few other little things they may get until the end of the next season to sort it, if they do not thay will be religated no matter where they finish in the premier league. I think that is the F.A ruling as i understand it?

So just to be clear Pat PNS win league by 12 points and have all of the facilities required for the Premier Division but can't go up because they were not in place by March 31st and Sileby finish 22 points behind PNS in 3rd and don't have facilities required for the Premier Division but get promoted and are given a year to get the ground up to scratch?

here we go again, shock horror its ken having a go at my posting. ken i just do not want to sleep with you. i am not a league offical but i am going on what Eynesbury got told when they applied for an inspection which would be the same as Sileby must have got told also. its about what was in place already when the inspection got done. the club then agree to have the rest of the work done over the next season. failure to do so would mean automatic relegated back to division 1. i would love to see PNS go up i promise you. but when the inspections were done PNS did not have the lights up. it came done to a planning issue. not PNS fault. life would be easier with PNS gone. i will not reply to another of your postings ken or whoever you really are.

I agree Pat I would like to see PNS promoted they have earned it on merit, but they as with any other club know the criteria required and the deadlines for it to be in place. The problems begin when trying to replace the clubs that have been promoted, eg when Blisworth decided to go into the combination the numbers in Div 1 reduced.

You might not be able to answer this Pat, but who by? It's a forum, we need views from everyone, it's called healthy debate and as long as it doesn't get too personal, that's the whole point. Don't chose not to post Pat, stick to your guns and your opinions, it's good to hear from ex-players that are now on the management side and , more importantly, probably have at least 20 YEARS experience of the UCL and all of it's quirks.

I'm not sure what club you're associated with GDB but i would be more than happy to propose you as a committee member at Corinths. You could have the job of assistant groundsman and then try and produce a better pitch at this late stage of the season!! Blimey, Wembley spent £120m on its stadium and look at the state of that pitch!!!

Just a point. If S&L had put money into the ground instead of putting into the players pockets they would not have a problem. Also ,I hope Sileby(Spencer???) go up,Great ground that would grace the prem.

The fact that S&L have got away without meeting the ground gradings for years, it takes the mick out of teams that do make an effort on their grounds. They have had plenty of oppitunity to up grade their ground to the required standard but instead chose to ignore it and spend on players instead.
I have only driven past Sileby Rangers and from the outside it looks a nice ground. That would be a nice away ground to visit in the league. Hope they do come up. :-)
