Well GDB, Deeping S&L beat Yaxley 4 nil on Tuesday night. Seems that Alex Brown has a very good title challenging side for next season in the PDFL. Pat may need more then a Guinness next thursday

Who knows what full strength is at Deeping as they only have around 3 players from last year? They played a few reserves from last year, but Pat has said they will get their chance, so are 1st team at present.
Huntingdon played really well first half and pretty much battered Deeping - particularly in midfield. Think they will be there or thereabouts, with a small budget naturally helping.
Deeping on the other hand have a very decent budget this year and will continue to attract players on the back of that - understand they have just signed keeper Lea Jordan from Soham for example.

No 1 is at full strength with the first couple of pre season games as you managers would be aware you have trialists playing. It is not untill the last couple you start fielding ya strongest team.

Deeping were nowhere near full strength and there were a couple of players playing that i'd imagine wouldn't get near their reserve team, once the manager's had a chance to have a look.
Dan Hussey was unlucky to be sent off. Be interesting to see how Huntingdon got on against Yaxley, but Yaxley are another side that will be re-building a hell of a lot this summer.

I think every club is building new sides and are taking a look at players. Results don't matter and Deeping will know that if they have players that can not beat lower Division Huntingdon that they will not be playing first team football. Hussey throw an elbow into the back of the head of a young Hunts palyer and rightly got sent off. The other central defender should also have been replaced for an act that does not belong in any game of football. Al rightly went bonkers.
Went down to Yaxley this Saturday, but the game had been called off. Got told Yaxley could not raise a side! Any truth in that?
