I had the pleasure of watching the current and next Champions of Division One demolish promotion hopefuls Bugbrooke by 6 goals to 1 yesterday. PNS played some awesome attacking football that belied their Division One status. Quick on the attack they opened up the home defence at will, the big lad up front - Edge - lead the line superbly well and thoroughly deserved his hat-trick. The movement from PNS off the ball made everything that they did look so effortless, each player made it simple for the man on the ball to play an easy pass. I would be very surprised in any other side in this league could have matched PNS yesterday and with performances like that there would be plenty of sides in the Prem who would have been left in tatters. The performance made in obvious that PNS stalwart Vinny no longer coaches these boys!!

Great performance by P.N.S not sure the officials had a good game I'E P.N.S player through on goal deliberately took out by the goal keeper no card was inside the box this was also agreed by the bench of Bugbrooke and also looked has the ball had crossed the line form a Briscoe corner but somehow the officials missed it all in all a good result for P.N.S the goal scorers was Francis 4 and edge 2 1 of edge goals was ruled out for off side

I do enjoy our matches with PNS, great guys and very good footballers. I was pleased with my players on Saturday despite the result, they never stopped working showed a great attitude and not one head went down.
Sometimes you just have to applaud good football, we played against PNS 3 times last season and they were better yesterday. The respect they show to us we are very grateful of, and after they told me we could also have scored 6, maybe true but they could have had 10+.
We played well yesterday and recieved a lesson in football, none of my players have ever been that tired after a match before.
As for the officials how they had the nerve to walk into the clubhouse and request payment for their performance on Saturday I will never know. Luckily they were refereeing 2 fair and well disciplined teams, because they failed to get one decision right and were made to look a laughing stock by honest players who clearly understand the rules of the game better.
In total they missed the ball leaving the field of play for a goal kick and then allowed the resulting goal scored to stand, missed a goal scored direct from a corner kick, did not punish 2 players that raised thier hands to an oppenents face, did not give a penalty or send off a keeper who clearly took out a forward and denied him a goal scoring opportunity. They were a disgrace to the football match and I hope I never see any of the three of them again.
Congratz to PNS on a quality performance. See you at your place.

Goals are normally given if scored direct from a corner. see Fifa rcommentary below:
"However, opinion is divided as to whether a goal scored directly from a corner kick should be allowed to stand. FIFA states "A corner kick falls under the same guidelines as a direct free kick", meaning that goals should be allowed to stand. However, FIFA also states "A goal scored directly from a corner will not be allowed to stand unless the ball legally touches a player other than the player taking the corner before reaching the goal." As goals scored in this way have been allowed to stand, it is widely accepted that a goal scored from a corner kick should be allowed to stand."

Of course before any of this discussion can take place the goal has to be seen by at least one of the officials
