Yes or No and resons why? I saw them at Thrapston at the weekend and i think PNS gave the game away.Missed chances and pushing to far forward towards the end i think cost them.Thrapston now have games in hand but must win them.Irchester are still in with a shout to.I still think PNS will retain the title.

No. Trying to keep to many strikers happy by starting top heavy. To beat PNS you have to win the midfield battle. Long balls to the strikers is a gamble.

Watched the game sat. I think PNS best chance of retaining it, it is to bring back Tommy as the manager. One or two little things that i saw showed a lack of experience. That is not meant to be a criticism, just an observation. The manager playing at the back and his sidekick on the sidelines just don't look right. I have this feeling Thrapo are carrying the little bit of luck you need to win a league. Of course you make your own but you need god to be on your side sometimes, just ask the frogs !!! Thrapston are decent without being outstanding and keep plugging away, like many of the teams in division one. Colin also has a sold backroom team. Irchester are probably the team that you could argue have more cutting edge on their day and look the favorites on paper. However Daren has been here before and not won it for one reason or another. Imo he has learned from those reasons in the past and has an excellent chance of finally winning Div One. Sustainable budget will play a major factor... Sorry to have to bring that up but it will. Heres how i see it as it stands with the same guys in charge. 1 Irchester 2 Thrapston 3 PNS I see it this way if Tommy takes the reins at PNS today. 1 PNS 2 Irchester 3 Thrapston This is no criticism of the boys in charge at PNS but the way they are trying to do it is not easy. The player manager thing rarely works at this level or higher. King Kenny at Liverpool is all that comes to me off the top of my head

Almost half way through the season and still very much open, would rather have the points on the board however if you said we will be in 3rd place with games in hand at the begining of the season at this stage I would have bit your fingers off ;D Just want to contgratulate Colin on a great result sat we dont see eye to eye but credit were it is due as for PNS they always bounce back

Chris Plums is doing just fine, though he has confessed that the job is completely different to that which he had imagined. With 6 England U-21 caps and over 200 League Appearances himself and Paul Hill who also played pro at Posh have a great background and are quickly getting the hang of things.
We are playing a more attacking formation this year, which I have used in the past when struggling for goals but it does leave us a bit more exposed, though when it works (like at Bugbrooke apparently!) it really does work.
Every team has dips in form now and again and better to be having that now than at the business end of the season - personally think it will be a 3-way split for the title as do others (maybe Eynesbury as well?) and also think that we will get promoted with a top-3 finish.

Why is everyone jumping on my bandwagons? Have said from the start of the season that Irchie will win title and PNS will struggle with a rookie manager!!! Tommy I understand from people that know you that you are a bit arrogant and over confident but that must help as you have a good record as a manager. You have said yourself that your management team are learning on the job and they have to start somewhere but it is why you won't win the league but may still get promoted.

Them old white fivers are out of date anyway, only good for loft insulation!! Irchester got 2 big games coming up that could shed light on who's going to win the League. Thrapston this Sat, Irchie the only team to beat them in League so far, should be a very tight game and then local rivals Whitworths the following Friday who be out for revenge for the caning they recieved the other week.2 games that should attract good crowds.

Just wondering DY have you remortaged your house yet? That is below the belt. No need. Managers at different clubs have their own way of doing things. I think it's fair to poke fun at the Corbyken thing as its amusing. However, if you look deeper, maybe Daren has invented this little charade because of no matter what he has done over the years he always gets slated. How sad the Corbyken thing is maybe a reflection of how badly Daren feels about the way he has been treated in football What has DY taken away from the game ? Why no matter what he does is he disliked ? Most football managers are not everybody's cup of tea, its impossible to be and because of it most managers don't even see eye to to eye, when really they should cos they are all alone in the job together !!!!! I know Daren to talk to and he is sound. Not nasty, not a pleb. He loves the game. He has his way of doing things and that does involve a few quid but most other managers (apart from Burton ) have. Time to give Daren a break and maybe he will stop annoying chatter with his vulnerable superego that is Corby Kenneth

Daren Young walks on water as far as ALL Irchies players, management and most important our loyal band of supporters are concerned. He has breath new life into the club and the village. We agree stop the Daren Young bashing and start giving him the credit he deserves.

can I just say for the record that FF has hit the nail on the head, I love the game and what it offers - good and bad. ;D All and I mean all of the ucl managers have my respect, especially scully, it a hard, nasty, backstabbing, bitchy, pathetic, job but I love it, also watching the game, being involved in the game, pitting my wits in the game, most of all seeing the players enjoying and winning the game, now if that is a crime for trying to help, improve, develop, create, learn, bond with players and the club then I'm very much guilty I don't care what is said on the chatter, I do love the banter and all that it offers ;D Oh and take it or leave it I'm not Corbyken Now you all have budgets, some good - some not so good and if you could have the players you wanted you would bend over back wards to get them, just as i would, did, and will continue to do!! Can I just say for the record a big thank you to Irchester for making me, Jim, Anton, Paul and all the players feel very welcome and appreciated
