I'm am not convinced by that. Everybody knows about chatter and the committee are on here. It's just so bloody boring and people cannot take criticism or a joke. This is the main issue.

Other than that could those of us that post on individual club forums spread the word? I see that someone on the Newport Pagnell one has a link to this site in their signature. The link / web address to the forum is also included in the Newport Pagnell Town FC programme.

Any forum needs additional members to stop it stagnating. As far as I know the check for multi personas, is the only one, as the forum is open to all registrations Mitoo is a good informative site which was running before chatter; www.htucfl.com is new, but for me Mitoo for stats and Chatter for gossip/news The forum has provided some enjoyable banter over the years and still does The “problematic” postings, to some are a laugh and good banter. But unfortunately the complaints that I and other admin’s got (from other equal members) had to be considered, luckily (maybe coincidentally) I haven’t received any for a while. Characters are welcome, not cyberbullies. If people can promote the forum within our clubs great, word of mouth is the best advertising. There are processes for official complaints in place, and that is where this site excels, as it can bypass them and ask questions encouraging debates, which procedures don’t allow A merge or recommendation with/from the official website isn’t what’s needed as this is an unofficial forum and long may it remain so, the site is a great resource which it couldn’t be if it were to have to toe the official line. We could have a forum with good info, quizzes, debates (intelligent and non intelligent!!) Some factual pages on clubs history, spotlight of the week, game of the week, reviews and interviews... if people submit them (like the Kempster forum ETC). My personal interest is the Ground Grading criteria, every club I go to, has interpreted the criteria differently....... if anyone has any ideas, feel free to contact me

Ground grading is boring We need news that will bring people into the enviroment, not scare them off. Ground grading can be depressing thought with so much to do by many with not much to use. Chatter has to be an escape !!! I will just carry on with buying Match and Shoot i think ;D

It is worrying as the number of posts is in decline. Can we blame the economy?
Maybe the "Everything Else" section could be the place for people to 'banter' leaving the UCL Prem and UCL 1 sections for the football discussion?
It might be helpful if some of the sticky links to club websites and tables and fixtures gets updated ? might make people think the place is more up to date?

scores on the doors, teams, and news are updated pretty quick on Heward league web site and mitoo already Even postponed matches come up as the league knows.. and clubs have to confirm with them first so it wont be here any quicker.

Personally don't see a problem. Its just a quiet time especially with so many games being called off. I do wonder about how one gets to become admin and all these strange gradings etc. but they seem to do a good job. However, I'm sure I'll lock horns with honestref again and/or others before too long. Officials are generally poor, too dear and some cheat on their expenses - how about that for a start ! Ground gradings are fascinating and the way they have been/will be used in relegation and promotion issues are of vital interest. Generally if it aint broke don't fix it (except our clubhouse). Anyway as a great admirer of Uncle Mort and Carter Brandon, what's wrong with boring, I like boring.

Sorry Porthos - I don't recall locking any horns with you - maybe that shows that I don't take this too seriously or personally and certainly agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Or maybe you're just insignificant (joke :-) )
I do get pi**ed off with those who constantly have a go at the volunteers who give up their time and make an effort to do what they do - these knockers need to try it for themselves. When they have a serious go at someone, that's when I don't like the forum and it becomes negative. Rest of the time - its pretty good.

Obviously I'm insignificant. I'm a new member (nearly 2 years) with only 3 stars. Can I add more stars on a whim - like playing 9 extra minutes at Long Buckby - or would this raise my warning level or decrease my Karma ?

Being an admin on sites like this is a thankless task. Believe me. What might seem innocent to most, isnt always so innocent to others. Only takes 1 complaint, a post deleted, and you instantly become the bad guy.
Personally, i think the lull is down to not a lot going on in the grass roots game due to the weather, dont worry guys, the banter will return
