If there was a nuclear bomb today then BPW would be champs Not bad for a side that were homeless a year ago and came close to going under because of it many times last year. Being top of the league if only for a week is a small testament to the fantastic efforts of people at the club during some hard times. Just shows that even in the darkest of hours as a football club, where there is a will there is a way. A truly fantastic young and community based club with promise and i reckon we could stay top for a bit longer as well bo**cks to the nuclear bomb ;D

We are a pretty bunch of down to earth people at Burton and lean more to the bomb statement. having said that you are right LF it is a massive statement that at times it would have been easy to call it a day but if it may only be for a week you get a sense of all the worry heart ache and sleepless nights was/is worth it and hopefully a big statement of we are still here and improving. To Answer who was good and poor, I have seen Burton play a lot better preseason but we seemed to have improved our determination not to lose. As I have said before I am sure we will score lots of goals, just as sure as I am we will ship our fair share too. I would think blue cross will hope to improve as all of us do.

Dont give it that Salako, your one of the top boys in the P.L.E squad and the only bombs you lean towards are the petrol ones you were throwing yesterday down at the train station.. 'Look here girls, he wanna lead a firm into europe' ;D

Some decent fixtures this weekend, Burton will do well against a strong Thrapston side, 'so i've been told'.
I believe Burton played well last first half however under performed second half and were dearly punished, is that the case?
Haroborough vs Sileby will be a good one to look out for. No game for Eyensbury and Kempston are in FA Cup action.

Will be an interesting fixture this game BPW v Thrap and the result will tell me plenty i think..
I know both guys in charge fairly well and while it is very early in the season yet but you can get a feeling for these things.
After BPW, Thrapston are the team id like to win it.
Gonna be a tight league by the looks of it so far

Had a beer with Foxy and Scott tonight, two good lads and deserve all the success they get at BPW (just not tomorrow ) Every team I have managed have, for some reason, struggled at Burton;and I think tomorrow will be another tough game. Looking forward to it.

It is BPW (The Club) that deserve the most success Mr J.S Kev is a good guy and wish him all the best but he and Scott are relatively new in after much unbelievable graft from many behind the scenes in the last 18 months to give the club a fighting chance for its future. It is up to Kev to take it to the next level as a manager as he will get complete 100% backing and loyalty from the club. His predecessor Scully made some huge changes to the club's footballing policy and took some short term pain for long term gain and Kev is the right man to take that on. infact Kev was reccomended by his predecessor and we really hope he can deliver. The introduction of Scott Goodwin (former Corby Town player) as his number 2 has been another step in the right direction. Kenny and Sam and others at the club do a wonder job and the well organised way in which the club is run will surely bare fruits for it one day with the improvement of facilities to the spec required and a real team that can challenge. Back to BPW v Thrap..I love the 'Chapters' in football and how they change over the years at different clubs and managers. Clubs and managers having to re build on success and failure is fascinating. Without trying to add any pressure on purpose, that is why i find the result of this game interesting. I know its just one game but a bit of hype doesn't do any harm does it Let me think Joe, yeah i think i can vaguely remember your last trip to BPW as a manager What happened again, remind me ;D

Scully couldn't have been that confident it would be long term gain or he would have hung around for it!!

No, he loves the club and believes it will come good. That the club will challenge for the league within 5 years. Think the lad was doing a lot of study and exams at the time while trying to manage many aspects at club as well as going onto to a University Degree. From having virtually no team last summer and no home, the energy that went into it as well as the study took its toll i believe on the lad. I am sure he will be back in the game very soon, he is too good not to be He may even be back in the game somwhere out of the bright limelights of UCL Division One If your read this Scully, we will never forget you and you will never have to pay to come and watch a game at our place EVER AGAIN and as you are an honorary member you are entitled to 3 free drinks also.. I heard Kenny saying that
