that sounds expensive for the new buckby chairman

I was wondering if Tony perry might be a candidate. As someone posted earlier, I agree he seems a good guy and the team are not far off clicking. i thought they would be top 3 this year and certainly expect them to challenge next year.

I hope Botty gets the job full time. A top bloke and a guy who knows football. Not your usual gobby manager but someone who can be firm but fair. Sad to see Manny go, because I always find him a good laugh and approachable. Hope he gets another position in football soon and there is no silly wrangling over contracts. Both Manny and LB should be above all that.

I remember the 1 that said Cogenhoe wasnt good enough to win the UCL title the year we won it!! the lads phone call to him from the dressing room after we won it at Potton must of been something!

It does seem a liitle strange that he didnt support Aidy and resign, Aidys comments in the Cron regarding him do not exactly offer a glowing report. Will be interesting to see how results go down at Long Bucky.

Makes you wonder what Botty can bring to the team that he didn't bring when he was Mannys No. 2 Other than using the former managers expenses on attracting other players maybe?

I doubt Tony Perry would swap the biggest budget in the UCL at Daventry to go to Long Buckby ( there are 5 players on £60+ per week. Mark Shackleton at Rugby Town would be a possible candidate, he had a spell coaching at Buckby with Aidy Mann and Glen Botterill but it is more likely he might team up with Glen Botterill, I think he will continue to be the manager. I am sure there will be plenty of people knocking on the door with the rumours of the current Chairman supplying a good playing budget.
