A long way to go but I think Bugbrooke should win the league. 2nd spot is really open, I'd have to go for Eynesbury as they're the best side we've (Whitworths) played this year. I'm sure Harborough, Huntingdon and Olney might disagree.

I think its a competitive league this year, and there will be plenty of teams involved at the end of the season, and it may just come down to who has the best run at the right time, Harborough and Bugbrooke are the top two currently as they have had good runs, but a lot of Football to be played yet.

I agree. It's the consistency that separates the good from the bad. Bugbrooke need to get over their blip and keep the pressure on. That was a great win for Sileby yesterday.

I have believed all season that Huntingdon and Bugbrooke were the teams to beat and I'm not going to change my mind just yet. However Harboroughs results have been very impressive and they are giving themselves every chance of a top 2 place.

I think whilst Huntingdon and Bugbrooke were definitely the pre season favourites, and clearly they are both top sides, a lot of that was because people knew of their signings, some good players brought in and plenty of strength in depth, but nothing was known about most of Harboroughs signings, all of them being local lads and the vast majority having no experience of the UCL
Lets the see what the 2nd half of the season brings, but who would you say have been the best sides you have played so far? and maybe the stand out players in the first half of the season?

Like I said, Eynesbury were good. All the others seem beatable. The Asian lad up front for Olney looked sharp as did Harboroughs top scorer. Worley is very tricky for Bugbrooke. Rushden and Higham haven't been impressive but they're results are excellent. Third at the moment, possible top 2? Apologies for not knowing the above lads names.

saturdays game was a massive disapointment for Huntingdon. From the first minute to the last most the lads just didnt seem up for it for whatever reason.Having said that i dont want to take anything away from whitworths.they were probably the best side we have played in the league this season and it seems strange that they cant do it week in week out. they played good football all over the park, wanted it more than us and thoroughly got what they deserved.

Thats very complimentary of you. It did seem that Huntingdon had an off day which sometimes happen. It just goes to show that this years league is very competitive. Whitworths have been playing well all season but without reward. Finally clicked on Saturday.

Cowboy not at the game on saturday due to be at home with the resses, but speaking to a few players they all have confirmed htfc comments that Whitworths were the best team they have played this season. I do know that there are some new signings on the way to improve the squad.

New signings for Whitworths or Hunts? I do think that it is a really open league. It's gives a lot of clubs hope for a high finish. With a few years of clubs with money seemingly in the past, it's the way it should be. To add to the topic, do you know anything about Buckingham? Are they any good? A few good wins and a few games in hand, could be ready for a push?

Just to change the subject further, Cowboy mentioned clubs with money seemingly being in the past, does anyone know who is paying in this league? I believe Bugbrooke and Huntingdon are (unless anyone knows different) but just wondered who else was?
