Clearly the Wellingborough Town chairman has to look at the overall long term future of his club. Along with all other AFC R&D members, I am aware of the detais of the agreement and I can assure you it is a very good deal for both clubs, which will bring in considerable funds to the Doughboys and improvements to the Dog and Duck.

yes sg I am fully aware that this is a great opportunity for both clubs and that it will benefit both parties, I have no problem with that.. I have been to watch Wellingborough's second string a number of times this season and seen a few of the lads that started the season with Jamie have now progressed into the 1st team. Its unfortunate that through no fault of his own the manager who in my opinion has done his job very well and doing what a reserve team manager should be doing (developing players capable of playing 1st team football) will not have the opportunity to carry on his work. Maybe R&D should aquire his services for the next season!!
