What i've heard is that the club is looking to sell the ground and car park to a housing developer with the fund's helping to pay off the debt and the remainder of which being put towards the building of a new ground on the outskirts of the town.
The question is that if a developer comes in, where do Rothwell Town go before a new ground is built? I can confirm, having raised this at our reserve team game last weekend that they would not be coming to the Waterworks Field as unlike Wellingborough we feel our reserve team is important to the club.

Not before the end of the season surely!!!!! He has stuck to that unenviable task of getting a team together to get beat every week and not publicly complained. I think he deserves to stay until May at least!

I totally agree, his actions should be commended. Most would've have walked and probably seen the club fold.

I turned up to watch our AFC Rushden & Diamonds lads! Apparently Rothwell could only muster 7 (SEVEN) players!
Went to see some old friends at Desborough Town instead - and they were unlucky against the Tulips!

Real pity that "The Bones" are having such problems, hopefully they will survive this difficult time.

Could only muster 7 players! Does that mean their opponents get the points or is it re-arranged?

Depends whether they can afford to pay the fine for calling the game off. Unless the reasons forwarded to the league were something else.
Game will be re-arranged as it hasn't yet been played

I believe seven is the minimum number required to start a game, Rothwell could have started it then if a player has to go off injured the game has to be abandoned. At least they'd have tried to play it.

Could affect the top if they did not survive Harborough would lose the 6 points gained against them with Huntingdon and Bugbrooke losing 3 points. I hope they do get themselfs sorted out as it will be a shame to lose them.

Surely the opponents should be awarded the points. Even in all youth football, if a game is called off, especially on the morning of the game, due to lack of players, then you lose the points. End of. So surely at this level, the rules should be the same. Yes 7 players is the minimum number required to start a game. And yes a fine should follow. This is surely wrong and open to abuse. Sayfor instance, my top striker, goalkeeper, skipper were unavailable, I can just call the game off saying I couldnt raise a side, knowing I could pay the fine, and play the game at a later date with a full strength side ??How is that right. ? Im not saying I dont feel sympathy for Rothwell, but surely teams that do this should lose the points in this situation ?

If key players are unavailable then you call up reserves. Unfortunately the Bones don't have a reserve side, for whatever reason. The fine is usually £250 for causing a postponement.

Yes im fully aware the fine is £250, and yes I am aware that they dont have a reserve side, and I want to state again that I have every sympathy with the club, but my gripe is the ruling that the opponets in this situation are not automatically awarded the 3points.
