Having a strong F Grade and a business plan to gain an E Grade by 31 March is what it takes at Step 5, similarly G to F Grading for Step 6 to 5 transition. Thrapston will undoubtedly loose their status irrespective of other matters because they will have failed to gain their F Grade in time, I suggest the big dark shadow of East Coast trips took away any incentive to adhere to the rules. But this is a warning and problem waiting to happen to promote clubs without the necessary grades or ambition to fulfil the clubs obligations, a word of caution will be ringing around Raunds with promotion issues in a few weeks time. But again, we are of course, bound by the rules of the mighty.
For what it is worth I believe no one should be promoted until they have the appropriate grade in place for the level of football they aspire to. That way they have proven their suitability to compete at the level they have earned the right to compete in.

I wouldn't have thought so not without us wanting to go up in the first place, our plans are the club first and football status second. Whilst some still have their heads in the clouds, reality has come to Raunds, no fanciful over ambitions here! Well at the moment that is!

Its getting like the Nationwide Conference now with UCL relegation. For season after season Altrincham got out of relegation at the AGM so much so that fans used to ignore the final league table becuase of its lack of relevance

Raunds!
The UCL hold their committee meetings there - remember- that is where they will be discussing the issues!

Oh!!!! so now this gives us an unfair advantage? ;D No only joking,...you should have said a 'word of caution will be ringing around the next UCL meeting at Raunds with promotion issues in a few weeks time. But again, we are of course, bound by the rules of the mighty. Its OK RW I'll let you off!!

Nobody got any thoughts on Oadby town coming across ? If they finished runners up in emcl would that be enough for them to be accepted in the premier division ? Average crowds of 200 this season ( including cup games ) 150 at league games ? Anybody thoughts ?

As someone involved with Desborough I'd love to see Oadby in the UCL and I feel that matches between the two would create fantastic boxing day/Easter fixtures. Another team who I've heard are interested in coming into the UCL and are from your league is Blaby & Whetstone.

Please don't think we are ignoring you Oadbytownfc but I think the FA have comments to make before the League can say too much.

I have thought for a long time that Leicestershire should be UCL territory, but the FA seem to think it should be Midland Alliance. To me the MA has too big a footprint (both geographical and in terms of population), whilst the UCLs is a little too small. Personally I'd love to see you in our league.

I'd be surprised if blaby came. But can't see a real reason why Oadby shouldn't be allowed to move over, from what I here Oadby have tried last season and again this but still waiting on decisions to be made from the fa. Harbourgh are a Leicestershire side and have been playing in league for a while. Does anybody know that if we finish 2nd in our league this season, would that be classed in a promotion place ?
