After getting hospitality tickets for White Hart Lane last year for the Carling Cup Quarters I met Les Ferdinand, Pat Jennings (MASSIVE hair, shoulders, neck), Clive Allen (miserable angry man), Joe Jordan and hairy arms ref Mike Riley (who agreed that Aaron Lennon runs "a little bit camp, yeah").
Met Dion Dublin at Wembley last May. Nice shoes. Also met David Elleray.

I played against Nicky Barmby when I was about 15. He was on Spurs books at the time and we were warned about him before the game. He absolutely murdered me - I didn't get near him!
John Hartson bought me a pint when he was playing for Luton Town. Nice bloke - stood and chatted to a group of us for ages.

I met Joe Corrigan as a lad when playing for junior blues.
Had breakfast with Bobby Charlton once while working at his soccer school.
Had brief encounter with Butch Wilkins and Ant and Dec last year at Fox Hills golf club, all were watching as I hit a PW to 3inches from the 18th pin from about 100yards away.
I MISSED THE PUT!
Played with a lad called Ryan Wilson at MCFC aged 11 or 12. He turned out to be quite a decent player, it's a shame the same coach couldn't do the same for me.
Also did some work as a student for CICA super schools with Cobra and Zodiac from Gladiators.
I Also have a 1st cousin who is in a boy band that have done alright for themselves. Twice!
Met a few other pro players and managers while on trials for various teams John Sillet and Cyrille regis stay in the mind at Coventry. Les Sealy was great with the kids at Charltons school, always remember him saying that the way he and the the players were treated at Man Utd was probably only bettered by royalty.
That reminds me, also as a student my mates and me got a bar gig at a military function and ended up serving Prince Andrew.
Sorry to go on. But you did ask!

Just remembered I was playing on the local field as a lad 8 or 9 and invited another lad to join us, when his dad picked him up it was Harry Gregg. Meant nothing to me at the time but when I got home my dad filled in the details.

Who is he then ? i hope your not going to say a baker Funny you should say that about the boy band as im related to one of the guys from Bucks Fizz Englands version of ABBA Quite a list you got there go and it does read as hones and true , not like the poor Apolman has been coming out with Sorry Lenny , just pulling your leg Actually Apolman told a slight lie , it was a bottle of millers that Hartson bought him and not a pint Do we believe him ? if this was in court this is the sort of technical glitch that can throw a huge cloud of uncertainty over things

You learn something new everyday in this game , no i didnt know about Harry Gregg or i had forgotten . Have certainly read the busby babes story . When i met the Rangers players my dad also had a quick chat with Jim White ... Whos he i hear you say He's the scottish guy off sky sports news and he used to be the top journo up north covering scottish football . He was a funny bloke and bubbly . Next time you see him on sky sports news have a look at his face , he has constantly got a wry smile on his face Good old Jim White ;D Also when Ally Mcoist walked out the door of the ground , me and my dad were standing outside and my dad shouted ' ALASTAIR ( like he knew him well ), any chance of a photo with the boy ' ... I nearly f...... died of embarrasment ' shut up dad ' Got the photo though
