. And be warned that Quorn have a chairman that has, shall we say, a reputation for unwarranted arrogance and utter ignorance. Haven't had one of those before As most teams coming down from above find out - Welcome to the UCHell ... (just joking) ... looking forward to meeting you all from Shepshed and Quorn . Jeff

Hello there! Whilst we were gutted to be relegated, albeit it's been a long time coming, I think it's fair to say that most at Shepshed will be looking forward to being members of the UCL. I think everyone expected us to be placed in the Midland Alliance, but this will give the BWA (Black & White Army) the chance to enjoy the hospitality at a lot of new grounds. Hopefully we'll continue to travel in the same numbers (min. 35, max. 75), however don't expect any supporters to travel from Quorn. And be warned that Quorn have a chairman that has, shall we say, a reputation for unwarranted arrogance and utter ignorance. Hi Andy, Seenms strange us communicating withouth wearing Afro wigs (we can let the forum draw its own conclusions). I Facebooked you about the UCL cup draw... www.nonleague.co.uk/topic/171078-good-and-bad-news-in-ucl-cup-draw/

Nice one mate. Does the UCL play League Cup games midweek or on Sats? 57 miles to Yaxley from Shepshed but 90 mins driving time apparently. Travelling numbers will obv be greater if a Saturday fixture, but I'm sure those that can make it will be looking forward to it.

Looking forward to our new venture & I back Andy Mac Quorn's Chairman can peel an orange in his pocket just ask the players that he upset last season. Just to introduce myself since Andy moved to pastures new down South and according to our local paper looking forward to re-visiting him at the St Ive's Game lol..
As supporters club Chairman of SDFC we will look forward to visiting all the UCL grounds as we will travel midweek and weekends and bring as many as we can to every away game as possible with are friendly atmosphere and make the atmosphere at every game we travel to as loud as possible.
Looking forward to something different from a true Shepshed fan who has followed step 4 football for the past 16 years but also seen my home town team from the age of 4 and not afraid to admit I'll be 36 in December this season and the attitude the BWA bring to games hoping to make alot more friends like we have travelling through the Evo Stik over the past 2 years waiting for the fixture list to come out and mixing with all involved in the UCL make sure you all have plenty of beer on tap in your clubhouses bring on 2012/2013 for all in the UCL as we are all true Non League followers.

Hello Andy, I'm sure that John Walker our fixtures secretary will take into account the travelling for mid-week games as it was one of the biggest concerns in our league's opposition to the FA Reshuffle. Historically he has tried to take these things into account wherever he can and of course there are lots of factors. I think you will find that Holbeach/Boston/Spalding are probably your longest journies timewise but Huntingdon/St Ives can be difficult as the A14 is a frequent pain in the butt. The Peterborough teams (Deeping, Northern Star, Yaxley) are all much of a muchness as far as travel time and route (A47) goes. Anyway, looking forward to your visit to us and vice versa. Happy Season ahead and see you in the KO cup at our place. JeffL

While it was a bit of a shock for SDFC to be placed in the UCL on reflection there is a lot more attractive places to visit in this league than in the Midland Alliance. Not sure if the club agrees with this as travelling costs will be higher and attracting players from our current catchment area will be more difficult. I can't wait for the season to start, does anyone know when the fixtures come out?

We can't wait for fixtures either at Oadby and will be hoping to get in the prem division as soon as possible certainly over next 2 seasons if possible, having shepshed in the ucl is quality as they are definatley a big non league club with a great support. It will be interesting how both shepshed and quorn get on but would think they will both do well good luck to you all

I think the F.A. would like to move the "footprint" of a number of leagues northwards, so I wouldn't be surpised to see more Leics sides in the UCL over the next few years. Fixtures came out right at the start of July last year, same again?
