Peterborough Sports Parkway of the Peterborough League Premier (and hopefully some time soon the UCL!) have a pitch available for a friendly this Saturday July 28th.

To confirm that if anyone is interested in taking us up on offer of a game with a pitch organised could they please let me know by 2pm today - we have 1 option but would like to face as decent opposition as possible

Yes Tommy, you are bang on. Its a very tough league this season with some very strong teams competing. The hope I have is that with a number of sides looking decent, this should prevent one team running away with it. Having said that, I wouldnt like to bet against the teams finishing in the top 3 will reflect the size of their players budget this season.....!

I dont want to comment or speculate on any teams' budget, i was just stating that come the end of the season the top 3 sides will probably be those who are fortunate enough to have the largest available budget. Thats life nowadays.

If there are any UCL Reserve sides out there who have no or few games early season, we are looking to play friendlies that can be accommodated our our PSL home ground in Peterborough. Dates are: -
Tuesday August 14th (6:45 kick off)
Wedenesday August 22nd (6:30 KO)
Wednesday August 29th (6:30 KO)
As we have the pitch covered, would just ask that anyone interested sorts out the ref.

Well, it will come out during the course of the season, as these things alway do. Anyway, not going to comment on this anymore as it was only a comment. The teams that spend the most money, often (not always) end up winning things. That is fact within the football world. That was my comment, and I said it will probably reflect this even in Div. 1. But, we shall see....
