Yes, agree, the boy Bass is really on fire at the moment. Hopefully the Club can get him on a contract in preparation for next season.

Bassy is quality, but he would be the first to let you know that he is part of a fast improving young team, given the time to develop this current squad Gary Ling can take them all the way. BUT I don't think he will be given the time.

Hey cufc watcher, where are Huntingdon going to get half a dozen new quality players from ? is Rob Newman having a clear out??? or are you thinking that H'don will become a nursery team for cufc. I don't know where your grapevine is growing from, but, I think new players coming in is a dream, losing some of the best youngsters that they have now will be a nightmare.

CUFC Watcher - you've gone all quiet. You seem to know what's going on at Cambridge but not a clue about Huntingdon.
We have the best goalkeeper, defence and attack that we've had for ages and all this is down to the hard work of the current management team.
You never know, Gary Ling could be winning the manager of the month award at this rate !

Gary Ling should be given the job now for next season, he is building a good young side that musn't be aloud to fall apart. Town have successfully revamped their u18s. the reserves have used 6 of them, and the first team have used 4. If all this good work is allowed to go to waste then I'm gonna register as an optician. Why? because my first customers would be the short sighted committee at Town

rumer has it that 2 or 3 players are leaving at the end of the season and i dont think gary ling knows who to replace them with. it was more enjoyable watching the reserves up till christmas, since christmas the reserves have gone backwards. why doesnt he use the better players from the rserves?

huntingdon have got a great young squad with the bulk of the team 20 and under, and the majority of that are 18! there is many positive signs of them gelling and maturing, if they can stay togther in a few seasons i think they will be serious contenders because there is no doubting their ability! the job is just 2 keep them all togther!

Well, Bassy never turned up on Saturday that's for sure.
This has happened twice now this season - the previous occassion being against Eynesbury on Boxing Day and we promptly lost 3-0. On Saturday it wasn't so bad as we were playing a lesser team in Thrapston and ran out quite comfortable winners in the end - Paul Nevill scoring three from midfield.
The win on Saturday was the first time the Club has won three league matches in succession, whilst in the UCL, and the first time we have kept three consecutive clean sheets since March 2001, when we were in the Cambs League.
Just one thing from Saturday though - one of the Thrapston midfielders is certainly Mr Angry - wanting a fight at every opportunity - a bit like the PNS centre forward !
