With all due respect Spencer bloke I take into consideration you are very proud of your club and your comments sometimes may lead to "Peeps" thinking you are a little less objective about your own club than you are when passing opinions about others. Think the idea of a reserve "forum" is great and hope this storm in a tea cup wont stop people posting good stuff about the boys in the ressies. I for one would much prefer to watch a UCL reserve team match rather than a Comb or Town league one. Why? better football and knowing that some of the lads will be playing 1st team in a few years or sooner. Before anyone gets upset from Comb or Town league.. there are some good players there who maybe wont do the UCL travelling, training etc indeed.. we have a striker who was Town league last year and doing really well in Cooks 1st team this.

I'll probably come across as uber-paranoid here, but the way your post above reads seems to suggest that I'm in some way against a reserve forum? If that's not what you mean then I'm sorry (wow - twice in one day) - but that's the way it seems to read.
I'm totally for it, and I also think it's a shame that the reserve sides get no news coverage. We have some cracking young players in our reserve side, many of our U18s are getting valuable experience in the team.
I think this fits with a post from a few days ago where we were all talking about attendances and Friday night games. I still think that if clubs could play fixtures on Fridays (either reserves or first team) then there would be a lot better integration and visibility of reserve teams if you had one playing on the Friday and the other on the Saturday. It wouldn't need to be always the reserves on the Friday etc, it could be juggled about to suit the away teams travel position.

, but Jonesey doesn't to be in goal, gets bored just standing there Isn't that the sign of a good game? Little action for the keeper?

Wish Jones,y would make up his mind. As a goalkeeper I think he is one of the best in the UCL, and needs to playing Prem. football which he is not getting at Raunds.

P O Strathaway The Pundit nice to see someone else posting what I have been thinking. Jonesy is wasted in the reserves but with the first team keeper doing well all he can do is stand around and wait for his opportunity .Having seen him in action against whitworths we all know what he is capable of. Hopefully his chance will come!!!!!.

Great to see this .. there are some good lads playing in the reserve divisions and they get no local newspaper reporting.. yet the Northants Combination do?? Why raise your eyebrows at the combination ? I understand your point that reserve division UCl should get a mention but the first teams are what the fans normally follow. Are you suggesting the level of football in the combination is not good ? Having managed at both levels the Northants Prem is significantly stronger than UCL Reserve division 2. Recent results in the NFA Cup also prove that there isnt a huge gulf on the day from UCL 1 and Northants Prem

This is the comment UCL Cook, I understand you probably dont mean that the Northants Comb shouldnt get newspaper inches over the UCL Resv, but thats how I read it.
