played 3 lost 2 drew 1 but the results dont tell the full story. Played potton was 3-2 up at halftime.made changes in the second half for the youngsters coming through but for potton to be a top 4 side they must inprove espically with a keeper. Wellingborough game was a bad start they scored after 30 secs but second half half performance was alot better. And last nite against s&l should have been 3 up in first half hour but again was 1 nil up and they scored a scrappy goal towards the end. Woodford tomorrow probably the hardest game we have so a good performance needed and hopefully we can get a draw (ha ha ) and start the season on a high, just need to work on the finishing and get the sharpness up and going

Wasn't near a full strength S and L team last night but was impressed with Whitworths. Played some nice football.

Who do you think will shine this season at your club? Ive watched 2 friendlies and seen some good footballers present. Do you ,as an insider, think you will match last season's dizzy heights? With key players leaving, who is going to step up to plate? Has Kris Line left? Will you continue to entertain even if it costs you results or will it be horses for courses?

Difficult to replace fozzie and Ben but Carlton bagged 40 in reserves last season in around 25 games and got 2against Potton. Young lads like Kilbane, Black etc coming through and looking good, Smithy has started on fire and was excellent again last night against Woodford and matty scored again. So opportunities I would say. As for reaching dizzy heights, took over 100 years for anyone at this level to go unbetaen so no chance I would say but winning the league is still realistic

With the season already started, are both sides ready for action? The last two friendlies were mediocre at best( raffertys and earls barton). It seems that a few players have been featuring in both sides. Does this mean that their futures are yet undecided? I think that the lack of firepower in the the ressies is going to be a problem. The first team look prepared, the forwards look full of running and the addition of Carlton Ellwood could well make the memory of last seasons strikers quickly fade away. The reserves however, need to hit the ground running. I believe their first game is away to Blackstones, this has always been a difficult place to go. Would 3 points be too much to ask? Lets hope not. I hope both sides start the season well and the players give it their best shot. I for one will be spending more time watching Whitworths than Wboro 2004. Lets hope my time isnt wasted.
