Contentious I know..............or is it? I have heard lots of differeing views.......merits for and against but do they help to move a club forward or actually aid to break a club down?

Got to be a bad idea. The majority of players would want flashier kit, less training, more nights out and would almost certainly challenge the manger for overall power in the club. I think the traditional idea of 'monkey see, monkey do' is the proven winner, players need to be told what to do. There could well be mutinies a plenty otherwise with many a decent manager strung up by his not so loyal players. Be interesting to see if anyone IS pro player power?

Club Players Committee!!! This is madness I tell you. Its like asking the lunatics to run the asylum. They would all be playing in pink or purple, no training, no away games unless a taxi provided. Who would wash the kit while they were all in the clubhouse talking about how good they were? No , stop this dangerous idea before it starts. Managers manage, players play, it might sound old fashoned but it works.

To add to my comments, worst case scenario, Manager makes a decision," Thats what he is there for" Aggrieved party or his mate gets the hump, goes to the committee. Said committee have a meeting and decide not happy with manager's decision. Then What? Manager gets hump because he is not being allowed to manage. Friction, aggro, repercussions on both sides. End result, unhappy club, either manager or players leave, nothing gained.

I dont disagree and as no-one has come on here and stated the case for then decision must be against. I do however think there may be room for a leader with player respect to discuss tactics etc with the manager. Maybe that would be the coaching staff or assistant?
