Well Darren it isn't a shame you missed out if you wasn't so gobby all the time you may still have been manager of pns but i guess you can't help it i was at a match 1 day watching pns 2 season's ago and i saw some bloke in the technical area gobbing off at the match officials i was told by 1 member of the pns committee that he was the manager now i know why he isn't the manager anymore not that they have missed him with tommy cooper coming in and doing a great job wtg tommy

Hi Darren - not sure who C&G is but he does not appear to be your number 1 fan!
Should be a time for being proud and happy that the lights are finally in place after 6 years of being in the UCL and not for taking pops at previous managers who were all no doubt hoping that this would happen under their tenure.
Will be interesting to see how the UCL meeting went yesterday and how us being just ever-so-slightly outside the deadline is viewed. Hopefully they will take into account the goodwill and intent with Council Planning Permission, Weather and fact that people needed to find spare time to put this in place having an impact.
I understand the stands go in place in the first week of May, and all of the other areas that were picked up on our visit were all easily fixed, such as having a loud speaker which I think we probably already have somewhere!!!!!
Looking forward to the meeting of your 2 previous sides tonight Darren with both looking to bounce back from disappointing weekend results

Tommy , from what i hear went on is that pns will not be going up to the prem as the work not completed by deadline day . Hope this is not the case as you and your boys deserve prem football . The one thing i will say is last year i was finishing of dugouts the evening before and had taken holiday a couple of days before the deadline to do work the league insisted get done . They wsnt prepared to give us any extension so im not sure how they will act mate . i will wish you the very best of luck and hope u get promotion that you deserve . just one point , why didnt the club act quicker in geting the work complete in time . you had the lights over 12 months didnt you .

Surely that depends on which way you read the information from the Football Ass. PNS are currently at grade G but can prove, if the get promoted (when) that they can get all of the grade F stuff in place within the year. It shouldn't matter too much for those of plying our trade in Division One as it seems that we will get the additional time should we be in a position to accept promotion or have started the work. Help!!??

Thanks Charlie (but possibly no thanks!)
Our delay was due to having to re-apply for planning permission as previous agreement had expired or due to changes in positioning of a couple of the lights I think. (not on the committee so not sure of full detail)
This got caught up in council red tape, and then the weather stopped the work being carried out by people who had set aside specific time within their business to do it. Some people at the club have worked tirelessly to get us to this point so just hope for the best really.

Can't see how they can knock you back Tommy, if the work is done or will defo be completed. It will send out the wrong message to everyone who is knocking their pan in at lots of different clubs to get sorted, what the hell is a few days here and there in today's environment. All the best with the prem, it's a league i played in and like they say on the telly- its unforgiving if you make mistakes, not that i think you will make many. As most good managers and coachs know, hard work and endeavor never really changes at any level in any league anywhere in the world. Good luck

it would seem the FA guide lines and the UCL's are different maybe?. if you get refused promotion then contact the ground standard person from the FA. I am sure he will be of use. After all every league has to follow FA guide lines right?

Not a problem Tommy, was shocked to see the scale of both results. Was suprised to see Paul Swannell playing for Hunts, hes the ''old man''- ager before me.
C&G clearly has issues bless him, especially as it was 2 years ago!
Glad to see things might be going PNS way at last, like to wish the club and Tommy the best of luck for next season

Although the situation is slightly different when Higham Town and Rushden Rangers were merged the league gave them up to the AGM to get their lights and stand etc into place in order to compete in Division one at Hayden Road.

You are quite right the situation is very different, it didnt impinge on any other club directly
