a dour match played on a pudding of a pitch, st ives eventually got the upperhand, scoring from a corner and then the most astonishing penalty award ever ( st ives player tripped over the ball) to make the final score 2-0. a brave performance from the st neots keeper kept the score down after st ives got themselves in front

The pitch was no better or worse than is usual at St Ives! However SAINTS were never quite at the races today, although the margin of a two goal victory slightly flattered the home side who were the stronger throughout and deserved their win.
A good crowd and good hospitality helped soften the defeat.

Thats very correct trin. The pitch has had a lot of work done on it this season mate, i know it doesn,t look the best but a lot more of the games would have been called off this season if it wasn,t for the hard work the groundsman has put into it. Its always been renound for being wet at the dognduck but hopefully its getting sorted out slowly but surely.

The Wellingborough surface was 25 tonne of sand mixed with a touch of green. Very well marked out though.
